Does anybody know where one can find a good scout guide? Back in the day there used to be a few different comprehensive guides out there (like Oakleif/critshot forums) with great leveling spots, items to get, specs to choose from, etc. It looks like most of those sites no longer exist.

I'm curious because I recently discovered this server & rolled a scout over the weekend. Right now I'm just running with merchant gear & random drops. I'd appreciate any info about level 10-20ish items worth questing/farming. I usually solo so items that require a group to get most likely aren't a possibility for me.

And now the disclaimer - I know scouts are "gimped" & all that, but it doesn't concern me. I didn't play my scout post-ToA, so the product on Uthgard is basically all I know anyway. I had no major problems with my scout on live.

Most people out there wouldn't particulary recommend to play a scout unless you really want to play this certain class. Archers in general don't work too well on Uthgard. Just throwing this in..

We run patches with new archery in a server that works with the old archery system. I bet that business up to no good and is the cause of the crappy archery performance that I have been experiencing ever since Mythic's patch with the new archery started working (some agree, others do not).
Why, Mythic itself has rejected the possibility of making their classic server with the old archery because of that.
If Shazor really wants to play this class then I strongly recommend him to go full melee and be mind-prepared for MUCH ignoring when asking for RvR groups (even level groups). Also, the place to get decent gear is DF (the merchants) and Stonehenge. The armors and jewelries there are decent, but for weapons you will really have to get some crafted ones (try killing The Tusker at Yarley's farm once you get 45)

Thanks!

As for the rest of the stuff - I'm already aware of the challenges with scouts on this server. I don't care, I like the class. I also like to solo, so it's not like I'm LFG often anyway.
