I've looked at some of the items, and compared them to items that can be crafted. It looks like the average utility of these items is around 60-65 whereas crafted items tend around 50-55.

it's not much, i know, but it does show that these drops are going to stop people needing crafting services.

Why bother buying a MP weapon, getting it SC'd and proc'd for some plat, when you can get better as a drop?

Before anyone gets all upset (again). I appreciate that the decision has been made and the dungeons are coming and the items are in. I'm fine with that.

I just felt that it warranted a discussion on the impact these new items will bring.

Dont forget, not every weapon fits to every template Its ok to get more assortment, especially without SI drops.

People should be crafting because the want to. Not because it is "better than X" or "can sell for X".

I am fine with some "Drops" being supreme, and I have a Leg, Grandmaster tailor and other crafting characters approaching Leg. Grandmaster. I enjoy crafting, there will always be a reason to craft in my mind, even if the "Giant Demon Pig of Doom" or some such drops something 10%-15% better than my hard-earned title can muster.

I get alot of books read while crafting, its fun. People will always need us too. That will never change.

We ever will need craft. Not all players want spend lot of weeks farming money or tajendi.

What this says to me is more for the elite RvR groups. And to hell with any one else. May be nice if your one of the 4 or 5 classes that get used in RvR past BG's here.

In short more for the more 50's that will get board of it after 2 months.

Would have much rather had SI opened up. Or a BG's lower then 35

Imo it's the opposite. These groups will stay emain and this dungeon is something for small grps or unwanted classes.
In OF it was actually the place for action beside the 8vs8 crowd. This will give people who got bored something to do.

How do bgs lower than 35 help 50s that get bored? Or more xp spots in SI? Souns kinda strange and i don't see any logic in this.

Any 'reward' will be the dungeons getting released sooner, with more accurate content
