Hey everyone
![]() My question is, what class do you think would do the best there solo? The obvious choice would be assassin or archer, but I don't have a desire to play those type of classes in any realm. I was thinking about Minstrel because they do have ability to stealth, just not sure about low damage?... What about a Skald, Sorc, Reaver, or VW? Guess I'm just looking for advice since it has been awhile. Appreciate any real advice! ![]() |

Minstrel is a great pick or a Spiritmaster would perform good too. The pet helps you to pass alone easily the other entrances.

BD is a very viable choice, completly OP in small scale RvR like DF

Well played minstrel is one of the toughest solo classes out there.

Based upon your account name, I am guessing this is Ironknuckles. Based upon what I saw of his play back on Devon, he shouldn't have any problem soloing!!

You will get those answers form a few people on here don't worry lol. Tell people your playing a certain class with an uncommonly chosen race and they come out of the wood work. Here is my advice: Play the classes and races that you personally enjoy the most. It sounds like you loved the BD so I would start there. If you end up not liking it move on to your next choice. Good luck and welcome to Uthgard! |

Btw. if you choose BD, you should know that u wont have a Petarmy here yet, also no Healpets etc. only a commander.
They want to implement the pets ayntime. It's done when it's done since many years. Have fun whatever you choose. |

Since Minst play strongly depends on kiting, i am not sure how effective you ll be in DF. But I ve no idea of DF RvR anyway, just a thought. If u want to gank lvl grps, minst should be fine with AE Mezz

Dark-SM is quite powerful, the pet is crazy at intercept and nice util in darkness spell-line. Fast to level also, summ to 40 then respec. Only downside is that it's hard to earn rp's in bg's with summ...(if you want some pve ra's while leveling

First of all, one should discuss what "DF RvR" means... you will meet other players levelling and other players hunting you
![]() For the first, almost any class will do in killing them. For the latter, you want to maximize your survivability for the following reason: Since "DF RvR" is very limited once your realm has had access to DF for a while, you might want to go for a class that can hide/stay alive once another realm has access to DF (= action for you, but once you're out, you're out). This naturally favours stealthers over other classes. Archers have the advantage of MoS RA, which both allows you to track other stealthers down or avoid them if they are grouped/too strong. The downside, you would need a certain Realmrank to actually kill other stealthers, so you should use the "avoid" component more and focus on other targets. The plus is, you can also attack enemies ranged where they cannot reach you immediately (e.g. mobs in the way). Assassins have the advantage of vanish, which helps in pulling out of fights once you get adds. This improves survivability. On the other hand, vanish is useless and stealth is limited once you meet hostile archers, see above. Minstrels have a nice set of CC (mezz, insta-stun), but as someone else said, the strength of minstrels (kiting!) is limited in DF due to mobs etc. |

As a sidenote, I want to point out that you can do well with many other typical "solo" classes. Friars for example seem to perform very well, as do spiritmasters, just to speak from a HIB point of view. BUT: Playing non-stealthers will sooner or later require you to log out for a while, since after a few kills people will come chasing you, and usually not alone
