You must do cmd and then tracert in the window.
It's done when it's done. Thanks for your patience.

What about that weird combat lag when you stun someone and they keep moving some distance before they reappear in the position you stun them a few seconds later?

This is client side and has nothing to do with the server. Just stay still and dont stick and u will keep hiting em.

a big time out is a packet lost, so you have ingame a lag

what ou can do:

1. restart router
2. update the router to newest software
3. i know from fritz router an option: slower downloads for a solid connention
4. try with another router, another lan cable (may be shorter one), another pc (so its another lan card)
5. if nothing help is the last step to call your provider
Back to NF, NEW RA.

is it normal that my hard drive goes from 24kb/sec to +100kb/sec for a few seconds is this maybe my lag spike? because it also happens every 15-20secs

I have see this before with other ISP's I work with. When BGP rotates to another backhaul is should be transparent. Sometimes its not as smooth. So when the ISP moves from one upstream provider to another, there can be a spike in latency. Normally this should not happen, and a person surfing the web or email you will not notice it. Backhauls normally can be rotated in a emergency or every 15 to 30 mins depending on the provider. ISP's find it's cheaper to rotate upstream provider services for uptime, and for cost of not having to pay one provider for bandwidth usage. Some provider charge by amount used of to the bandwidth to the ISP. If you have 3k customer and they are all together pulling down 40 megs, that cost money, but if you rotate it by 3 providers then its not costing that much and you don't have 3k of customer with all the eggs in one basket.

To test you can do a tracert before and after high latency ping to see if the hops to uthgard change. Still possible for other upstream provider to announce routes since they sometimes just sell the transport not the bandwidth coming threw it.

If its every 15 mins on the nose or 13 mins what ever.... then its the ISP changing its backhaul on the fly.

Im currently dealing with this now with a client. The ISP has a old Cisco 3600 and its spiking every time it moves to Sprint, XO Communications, or AT&T every 15 mins. They know the problem but wont fix it. Normally its not bad, but when you customer are VOIP customers that latency hurts voip quality.

More information then you guys wanted but im enjoying my beer now.

i have the same problem, but not all day and not every day.. it's weird, i can play for hours withouth lag, relog to another char and things start to go bad, i pull a mob, nothing happens, some seconds later middle lagbubble goes yellow, then red, then the left one goes red, i i dont hit my styles i end up dead, if i hit styles while nothing happens on my screen i have a chance the mob is dead when lag stops...
rebooting seems to help sometimes, but not all the time..
it started a week ago, never had any problem before, if i had lag, others had it too, but now it's only me..

just gone linkdead while doeing a ping /t
my connection was good, 22 ms average, no packet losses for the las hour, lag was terrible and at the end i got linkdead..
this is realy weird, must be a problem with my pc, or a server side problem

oops, just realised server went down... did other have lag before it went down?
