Is it allowable to have two different accounts being played on two different computers in the same house at the same time? I would love for my wife to start playing the game with me but I am not sure if that is a banable offense. Any official word would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Rules wrote:§3.8 Logging in two accounts - buffbotting
Logging in two ore more accounts simultaneously is always forbidden. There are no exceptions. This explicitly includes typical buffbots and all kind of dual logins like crafters and mule characters. Any violation against this rule will be punished. The usage of a buffbot will result (besides the punishment for all accounts of the player) in a permanent ban for the buffbot. If a staffmember suspects a player of dual logging, the suspected person(s) have to obey his orders (buffbot detection tests). If a player ignores this, logs out, or out of sudden goes linkdead with one or both characters, it will be considered as an illegal dual login. There are no exceptions.

she has to be able to control her character to pass the dual log test, but hey, i bet you knew it, cause you had read/accepted the rules....

Just make sure if your both on at the same time, that nether of you go afk to long, or else just log out in that time. If an admin asks you something, dont ignore. If your playing together make sure not to go afk for to long, espically if one is a buffer, they may see it as a buffbot.

I appreciate all of the feedback. I thought that it would be ok because I have seen a few other cases where a father and son played at the same time. I just wanted to make sure. Thank you.

GM's will often watch you in that case. If they think you use your second account as buffbot you will be checked.
It's done when it's done. Thanks for your patience.

When I started on Uthgard I didnt know about buffbot rules so I xpd my brother + me and got banned due to dual login after some minutes =)
So we knew it and xpd from time to time with the same connection, but with two people playing and we never even got a tell if we are two players.
Hence I think the GM's are quite good in checking if you are a buffbot + twink or two active players, dont worry. But to be on the safe side you should not go afk while having two accounts logged with the same ip.
