I just came back on this server since 1-2 weeks, found my guild dead and re-estabilished an international guild (What the Frag).
I collected some very good players from mid, and we started roaming.
I noticed that is impossible to have my rvr wishes satisfied: Mids are always running with 4-5 fg in the 8.30+ GMT+1, and everyone adds on other fights: i am having not fun playing DAoC anymore like that.
The zerg obviously needs to be counterzerged and every night Albs/Hibs reply (for good reasons) and it become complete chaos.
Gdrw too last night were adding our fights when 2-3 enemies where alive and we had already won the inc..
As i think it is not funny for other players too (from other realms) can we decide a free frontier 8v8?
Where we can go and have fair play incs (Odin), whishing that who doesn't want to have 8v8 doesn't come and play like a kid?

Plz don't reply Mate is rvr not Gvg, cause it is only chaos right now: And it reminds Betas RvR Gamestyle.

Cheers, Ilcensore

Impossible that gdrw add your fights !!!
Check their guildrules^^
Behaviour in rvr :
- 50er-RvR over BG-RvR
- X vs X orientated RvR (same amount), avoid zerging or adding if possible
- Fairplay

But most of them can´t count and read, it seems...

They should remake their rules or punish the whole guildplayers that ´re doing rvr

Haven't you heard? If you like a fair challenge you're an elitist d*ck that should play eden. Bad people stuck in 2003 make the calls here.

Get in touch with the groups you'd like to fight and meet in Odins Gate, Hadrians, whatever. Problem solved. DAoC is not a lobby-based shooter, you will not get fair fights in Emain and you can't tell other people how to play the game. So the solution is to remove other people from the equation and declare e.g. OG as 8vs8 zone. Voila.

8v8 crowd can't tell anyone how to play the game but everyone can tell the 8v8 crowd how to play. Double standards ftw.

It would be very easy if Gms hadn't considered this like organized RvR (and so illegal)

Did you realized when you played this char that you were ruining others fun like others are ruining your fun atm ?
It was impossible for 95% of the emain population to have their wishes satified at this time.

Now i hope you realize that everybody is playing the way they like and they really don't care about others. Now you play with the non adders and you're mad about adders, learn to play with it.

The horrible add policy of about EVERYONE (yes, adding of two opposing realms 8vs8 is adding and no, it does not usually make for fun fights) and ridiculous bugs/features (YOU ARE STRAFING IN COMBAT, NS heal, etc ...) have driven away 90% of decent DAoC players from Uthgard.

Look at how many new guilds start here and break up within a week after hitting 50. The two reasons mentioned above have been most important for everyone i know that has quit Uthgard, not some crap about battlegrounds.

I have no clue what is going on in the adders head: "hey, there's a new group that is prolly having trouble winning a fight against rr8+ groups dumping RAs like fat kids candy bars anyway, so LETS ADD THEM TO PIECES to make them leave the server!1!1111!" Great long term thinking.

Uthgards RvR population would double if Blue had a clue about PLAYING DAoC [he seems to be the only staff member competent with DOL tho, as Nayru is taking a year+ to do a weeks amount of work and everyone else is doing customer support/world build only] and people would stop playing like it was 02 and the server population could stand a 4 fg zerg.

I am simply offering a solution to the problem. 8vs8 is a mentality, and not a written rule. If you find that running around in the most populated RvR zone gets you added by players that do not share you 'honor code' (or whatever you want to call it), then the only consequence is to move to a different zone (since you are the one trying to enforce an unwritten rule). If other groups share your mindset, then there should be no problem. But here is the kicker. As low RR group, you have little chance vs. the established high RR groups (assuming about equal skill and all). So as a new SG, you need the adding, noobish PUGs to get to a decent RR - and those you will not find in an 8vs8 zone, because they would be foolish to go there. So you end up going where the easy RPs are and keep complaining about getting added.
