Given the fact that we have no buff bots, no ML9 pet, no artifacts etc., what would be the recommended spec for a pure PvE farming focus chanter. This character will NOT be used at all in RvR, and rarely in group (maybe duo).

I had been leaning towards:

40mana, 34chant

but alot of what I have read really push for:

44chant, 30mana

or maybe the preferred spec is the old standard:

50mana, 20chant

Any and all input would be greatly appreciated. :wall:

Full mana, enchantment spec is useless as buffs don't work on pets.

Do no druid buff's help the chanter pet at all?
I read that Attack speed and AF buff helps druid pet.

Yes they work now. All buffs. It's a noticeable difference, but my fullbuffed spirit simu is still a bit to weak imo.

Don't know about heal proc, but i think for farming 40 mana 34 ench could be worth a try.

Is there a particular reason for choosing a chanter? What would you want to farm with that class/spec? Just wondering since it is rather uncommon of course. I think most people would pick an animist for farming lower level mobs.

Thanks for the responses.

What spells are actually broken in Enchantments? Is it just the heal proc? What about dex/qui and str/con buffs, dmg add etc.?

I find the chanter more flexible and easier to use for PvE farming. I had an RR4 animist and found the class very frustrating to play. The uncontrolled turrets don't last long enough, and to move you have to cast a new controllable turret, buff it etc.

Most people farming affectively on the live servers that I played on were using focus chanter, although the ML9 pet certainly helped.

Dmgadd works but it's not really necessary when doing mass pulls. Some people say strcon/str buffs increase the pet's absorb (?) which I can't say I've noticed. Dex buffs probably don't do anything unless they also mysteriously increase absorb too. AF definitely works though when it comes to damage absorption.

Healproc isnt working, 50mana / 20 ench will be best imho. I took this specc.

Buffs works fine on Pet - Fullbuffed with Druibuffs (blue/yellow buffs) Pet only get 120-150dmg, instead of 270dmg (Orey),
or only 280 - 450 dmg, instead of 650 - 950dmg (Jugger).
