Hello,
ive made scout and ive noticed that mobs doesnt take aggro if i shot them from full range, that means 2500 units. So i was thinking how to get the range instantly. So i use macro /groundset 2500. In plains it works properly, but in mountain terrain it fails. When mob stays right on the GT mark in plains its far enough, but in mountain terrain its far away. Could anybody explain me where is the problem? With regards Finfula |

I think some did xp with catapults and got warned, maybe even banned for some time. I would ask some gm before perfecting the best way to calculate 2500 units from any angle

Hi Finfulla,
The explanation for the distance being too large in area's with a heightdifference is very simple. The horizontal distance may be 2500 units (like if you look on a map from straight above) but the actuall distance is a little larger. Distance between A and B = 2500: B -------------------- A Distance between A and B is larger than 2500: ---------------------- A | | | B A quick fix would be to use /groundset 2450 (or 2400), another fix would be to just do a step forward. |

I understand what you mean, but if im right groundtarget mark reacts on terrain, so should do the macro. But it doesnt.
Actually it should give always the same range in every kind of terrain. The command just doesnt count with mountains when it sets the range. So its bugged in my eyes. But i would like to see Blues opinion for this problem. |

/groundset and the range calculation from longbow should "ignore" the z-coordinate.
This results in a bonus when shooting from above your enemy. /range should give you the actual range between your character and your target. Uthgard till 2003!

/Range command is implemented only for objects. Rest was mentioned in my first message.

U should do a bugg report in that section if mobs dosnt take agro when u are attacking them. This is a obvious bugg and i advice you from stop using it. The staff dosnt take bugg abuse easy and except to be banned if u use it. |
|
My scout is lvl 6 so i havent abused it very long.
It could be also feature of scout, ive no idea about pvm on uth tbh, thats why im asking here. |
|
In my point of view u just asked for an easier way to bugg abuse ![]() Come on, u clearly know this is a bugg if mob dont engage after you attacked it. Why should there be different pvm here from live. And somethings tell me this isnt ur first char on uth so who are u trying to fool? Maybe yourself ![]() |
|
Each char is different and every char has its features.
If i like to abuse it, i wouldnt mention that im using ground target for scout and why im using it. Stop flaming plz i want a real answer without closing. |
|
U already got ur answers in how /groundset works and that u are a bugg abuser using ignorance as an excuse nobody will buy. I hope ur getting banned and not just ur lowbie scout, all ur accounts. A cheater is a cheater and dont belong here ![]() |

Your flaming doesnt help the server.
If you have real problem with me, tell me directly. There was no direct answer atm. Try to be polite plz, i dont want to get this topic closed before i know the answer. |
|
It is a bug abuse, stop doing it or u ll get banned. Noone will believe u that u thought it is a "feature"
![]() From Blues sig: Blue says, "you used macro tools or macro keyboard" Pala says, "i am disabled. and i have a mechanic left hand that can be programed. its hard to play woith one hand" |

Guys my scout is called Mlaska. Its lvl 6. All i wanted to know is how /groundset works in different terrains. And because i want to have clear hands ive written a reason why i want to know it. Im working now on bugreport since i cant get other answer than OMG YOU LL GET BANNED... Thank you for your time.

Damn, I can't figure out if you're joking or you're just on the... simple side of life. Judging by your english I'd say it's the second. Healowner - Alb/Merlin - The Guardians |
