Tried to open Portal, but it my virus protection said it had a virus. I deleted it and re-installed it, but when it starts to auto-update when its opened for the first time, it still says it has a virus. Tried yet again, same story.. Whats going on? Its not done this the past year..

It actually says 'Malware', so i dont know if this means somone/something is trying to get access to my account..

I suspect if you are infected one time the new exe is immedietaly infected too? I have no problems. Check with Virus-Total like I did. It's done when it's done. Thanks for your patience.

Update your anti-virus software or download one ( AVG Free is what i use and trust ), then run a full scan to make sure it isnt a virus already on your system that is infecting new files. Good Luck.

Yea im using AVG, done a scan lastnight infact but it didnt find anything.. But i downloaded portal again and it all worked well. Wasn't sure what patch thing to use so ive put it under Minotaur. But theres 2 slight, and probably not major, changes. The loading screen when i first go onto the account is no longer a picture of all the expansions, but is all black. And drop bags are red, instead of brown!
 Oh well, i always like a change of colour  |

And just noticed another thing, when mezzed, i see little yellow lovehearts instead of 'ZzzZzzz' coming from the players head...
  I guess im using the wrong client version? |

I Just launch portal after a week trip and my AVG cried about a virus on portal, i upgraded Avg, scanned all my computer and found my first virus since 3 years clean, login.dll , dropper generic3.uiq found.
I didnt checked net i have no problems with nothing more. |

Having same problem says malaware in the portal exe
uninstalled it and reinstalled and same thing Found the problem with AVG trojan horse dropper in login dll |

What does this trojan trying to do?? I wonder whether its targetted to DAoC logins.

Ok I installed AVG too to test that and yes it detects login.dll as generic trojan. Maybe a pattern inside of the login DLL matches the generic trojan pattern.

Yea im also on AVG. Got the login.dll whatever virus but i just moved it to the virus vault and deleted it. Game still works tho..

AVG is a little hyper sensitive. I have it installed and it does report files here and there. Submitted file to Virus Total does detect nothing.
