Ahoi,
ich weiss, ich habs schonmal gefragt... Aber eventuell hat sich ja mittlerweile etwas ergeben. (eventuell auch serverseitig?) Mir geht es um die alten Icons. Wo der Mezz noch gelb war und nicht alles PowerRangers-artig am rumglitzern war. Die Icons kann man zwar per Custom UI wieder benutzen, aber mit diesen komischen Dingern unten rechts im Eck (wenn der Spell z. B. ein AE Spell, DoT etc ist) anstatt mit den verschiedenen Zeichen innerhalb des Icons. z.B. ein "Teller" unterm Mezz Symbol für AE Mezz etc., zwei Striche in jedem Eck, wenn es ein Spell war, der die Gruppe betrifft etc. Gibts da mittlerweile schon ne Lösung? Oder is das immernoch so n Client/Server Problem, dass der unbedingt diese Dinger im Eck will? greets 1) You are on the internet

Mythic hat den Aufbau der Icons in irgendeiner Version mal dynamischer gestaltet. Also Basis-Icon + Effectziel, so dass sie nicht für jede Variante was extra hinterlegen müssen. Ich glaube so war das.

gibt wohl auch keine Möglichkeit mit nem älteren Client auf Uthgard zu connecten um das wieder zu haben?

Das würde nicht funktionieren da unsere Datenbank bereits angepasst wurde an die neuen Icons. Deswegen müssen wir auch immer mal die Mindestversion anheben. Die älteste Client-Version die wir überhaupt unterstützen könnten wäre 1.68. Ich fänds natürlich interessant mit solch einem Client zu Uthgard connecten zu können. Es wäre sicher nicht zu 100% unmöglich, aber evtl nutzen wir auch neue Features in den neueren Clients. Die andere Frage wäre natürlich, wer hat noch eine 1.68 rumliegen.

das heißt also mit dem uralten classic/si client wirds nie mehr möglich sein zu connecten oder? auch in ferner zukunft evtl

soweit ich weiss musste man damals ab catacombs mindestens mit dem toa client connecten, weil die anderen clients die türen zu den catacombs nicht verarbeiten konnten.
ab da raufgesetzt wurde das afaik nie. man konnte halt nich auf die inhalte neuerer expansions zugreifen (mit toa client nach lotm laufen is nich so wirklich) 1) You are on the internet

Von der Theorie wie gesagt könnten wir noch 1.68 oder 1.69 unterstützen. Für Versionen davor hätten wir keinen Netzwerkcode mehr. Interessant fände ich die Idee schon. Nur wie gesagt es ist schon ein Problem an die alten Versionen ranzukommen. Man kann ja auch keine alten CD's nehmen weil dort meist noch ältere Versionen drauf sind.

Joar. Aber die Versionen dann zu updaten via normal connecten geht ja auch nur schrittweise, oder?
Wenn ja: einfach mittendrin bei der gewünschten Version abbrechen sollte funktionieren. 1) You are on the internet

Dann müsste man halt schauen, ob das noch auf irgendwelchen Platten liegt, wie Galandriel gemeint hat.
Nen Weg gibts da mit Sicherheit. Viel wichtiger ist da mMn, welche Änderungen dann benutzt werden könnten oder wo es Probleme geben könnte. z. B. Svasud, Sauvage, Ligen, denn die sind ja grafisch angepasst und weiter nach hinten versetzt worden... Die Hauptstädte sollten mit jedem Client vor Cata eigtl wieder wie die alten aussehen. Gebiete wie die epic zones sind abgeändert worden. mit neueren Patches (hat ja nix mit Expansions zu tun)... da könnts Probleme geben. to be continued 1) You are on the internet

An einem V1.68 Client wäre ich sehr interessiert falls den jemand noch hat. Man weiss ja nie.

uhm ich hab die orignial Cd, SI CD und toa CD noch rumfahren nur ka was für en client das bei SI,Toa war

hi kann mal gucken ob ich noch eine alte version da habe meine hätte ja mit 1.69 angefangen bin mir aber ned sicher ^^

auf der festplatte is die ned mehr höchstens noch auf einer daoc cd die ich damals als ich angefangen habe zu spielen bekommen habe aber die is dann im keller denke wird man so leicht ned finden ;(

Ich hatte mal ne CD mit 1.48 oder 1.49, die mir damals jemand gebrannt hatte, da ich zu der Zeit nur Modem hatte. Leider finde ich die CD nicht mehr.  Was ich noch im Regal habe: - Original CD von DAOC (Classic). - Original CD von SI - Original CD's von TOA (sind 2 CD's in der Hülle) - gebrannte CD vom damals schon kostenlosen Housing-Addon, welche ich kurz nach Erscheinen des Addon gebrannt habe Wenn irgendwas davon weiterhilft, bitte Bescheid geben. Lade es dann als .iso-Datei auf nen Filehoster. Wäre ja noch nicht mal illegal, da es das komplette Spiel ja mittlerweile als free-Download gibt. |
