ROFL! If you've never put foot in emain, why the hell are you even bothering to talk on this subject? Stop talking about it if you know nothing about it. Pelusilla : Well, I have no real experience playing in Emain, but I think that it's just fine. ![]() |

You are so smart, im talking about ALL rvr, not only emain, emain is not the only rvr zone in daoc you know? |

I swear to god, it's like i'm talking to a plastic bottle. Do you watch your kill spam when your in the Old Frontiers? Because if you did, you'd see that 95% of all deaths occur in the Emain/Breifeine area. That's where all the stealthers hang out, it's where the FG's roam, it's where all the action is. So yeah, you can camp Hadrian's Wall or Odin's Gate and you might get the occasional soloer doing a mission, or maybe even some xpers. But apart from that, no one goes to those locations other than to kill a boss, or capture keeps, usually as a FG. So no, sitting at MMG in HW for 2 hours waiting for a soloer doing guard does not sound like the best way to use my time.

What about RR6 Also known as: Kiorein, Acolyn, Skiploom, and Krinton.

I dont remember who, but he posted about bg for all rr. Stupid idea. |

How to add /rp off without leading to people permanently staying in the BG's by suiciding
- Whenever a player dies their third EXP death, they will receive a message saying that for the rest of the level, they cannot use /rp off and /rp off is immediately canceled. When they reach the next level, they can freely apply /rp off again. - /xp off and /rp off cannot be applied at the same time. If the staff doesn't want to implement the live-like system, this should address their concerns for not wanting people to linger in the BGs forever. :} Also known as: Kiorein, Acolyn, Skiploom, and Krinton.

Do all of the previous posts mean that I, as a new player, even if not that enthusiastic about the idea,
WILL HAVE to play and stay until cap in every BGs because otherwise, when i'll go out RVR in frontiers i will only meet RR4L2++? I know that BGs are fun, but i asked myself 'WHY' creating a bg which will bring you all the way towards the end of your level journey? Why drastically cutting the chance of casual rvr gaming? I mean, you do understand, right, that EVERYONE will be forced to either farm the BG's before ever taking the first step out into frontier? (Of course, you don't have to, but unless you do that, you won't be able to resist. And then? /cancel ? roll another char?) Having the last BG cap at level ... dunno.. 45, would give a little tiny bit of advantage to those people who might simply want to skip BG and exp quickly to 50, to participate in keep takes or some other kind of rvr action, besides 8vs8. Well, no. This way any class not specifically fitted and specced for rvr, fully spellcrafted template, RR BG capped, can't ever go out RVR and hope to stay alive longer than 3 minutes. |

well... during the times when old RA were in place the game had been designed not for 8v8 but more for 60+ vs 60+ vs 60+ zerg fighting that often happened xD you wont really find this on uthgard. and it isn't because of player numbers, its because of player mentality. the idea that zerg play is no skill and useless is too common. if this playstyle were more common on uthgard then this BG system would make more sense, and it seems thats what the devs strive for is the classic feel of old times dark age. too bad we cant get the old daoc players back as they were in 2003 ![]() |

I am afraid I have to give you some bad news: it is already the case, very few players in frontiers less then 4l2 (mostly those who forgot /xp off). And even 4l2 it wont be easy for you to find a group. Not sure what you expected the frontiers to be. |
