This is actually just to tell the staff that I experience many LD in a row with a interval of 10min or even less. This have been like that for 3-4 days and it's just unplayable. This started with some LD while I was playing on the same IP as my gf (we have 2 pc's at home) maybe 1 to 2 LD in a day and going worst to this situation right now. I've never ld'd before today or just when I wasn't downloading of course. This situation happen also to one of my friend and few people I know on the server. I don't know if this post will help you, but I least you know the problem now.

EDIT: to rectify one point, I've been playing with gf for years without problems.

Me & my bf also play via same connection - even if its rare that both of us play I think I might be more laggy if we both do.

But I play via WLAN and he does via cable + we have good connection - but thats just a feeling

exactly same as me, me and my brother play on uthgard with a router, even if i play alone we get all time ld 3-4 day ago it was fine like 2-3 ld for 8hours+ now 6-7 ld for less than 1 hours i have a very good connection my ping on uthgard server is less than 100ms but ld every 5-10min i request some help or tips, or something please help us.

That is your problem. Not Uthgard server

Maybe it "My" prob but i have this prob only on uthgard and on nothing else, i have checked all my connection i have tested without my router i get less ld but still there maybe 3-4 in 1 hours, with my router at least 6..., but why now and not before and i dont have any prob of this kind on anything else it worst in the night i cant play at all ld when i log or on load...

Maybe because uthgard is the only daoc server located where it is ?
Routes change from time to time ask your provider if they can direct your out of certain bad hops if it's really bad. Some providers might do this for you.

is hetzner.de uthgards provider for connecting to the internet? if so be kinda hard to route around it.

I disagree Nix. Having said that I am no network expert.

I have gone LD 10 times today and am pretty much done playing. Period.

Earlier in the afternoon, I did a ping -t for nearly 3 hours on ALL hops from my IP to the Uthgard Server. There are 13 hops in total not including my IP.

The only one that had multiple consecutive "Request Timed Out" was the final destination... Uthgard at 88.198.56.21

A few things come to my mind:

1 - Why isn't everyone LDing at the same time (stupid question .and grasping at straws.. just thinking out loud).
2- I was perfectly fine playing with zero LD issues 2 weeks ago
3 - What the F#$* has happened to cause this and why has it been going on this long.
4- There appears no end in sight.

FWIW I am in Toronto and on Rogers, the largest ISP in Canada. It has been solid as a rock for 10 years.

Maybe some banned player its trying a DOS attack ?
or some geek/wanabe hacker it trying to flood that node to produce DOS.
I posted a tracert in another post with timeouts on the other side of the great pond.
Nixan keeps telling everyone its your isp because of 300ms hop.
I can play with 1100 or 1200 ms there is a node in Germany or europe dropping connections.

It seems to be a problem coming from our providers. I'm living in Canada too, my friend living CA, and it seems that you're from CA too. So maybe it's the problem, but I don't know what I can do except stop playing..

Just a plot to keep us good ol Canadian peeps off the server. Sure they will sit and share our maple syrup over warm pancakes but playing on their server is out of the question D:

Well i've got the exact same problem for about two weeks now i've been going LD every 5 to 10 mins which makes the game unplayable..... I never even had a LD before i tired changing from my wireless to cable connection no difference i called up my internet provider and they say my connection is stable with good numbers. I did virus and spyware check nothing there either, i play other online games and get no problem either and have fast and stable down loading games and stuff. I'am from Québec Canada i see it seems to be the problem, i hope this can get fixed because it's really annoying.

Same here with me and a friend of mine in the same city, we are in North Bay Ontario Canada. Constant link deads and I also did the pings and traceroutes with same results. Started about 2 weeks ago. Effecting guildies too I have seen in chat.

Hopefully something can be done, or someone is working on a solution.
