The main problem is mentality.As long as people will believe that the only way to rvr is to roam in Emain this will be a fail. Most of people don't wan't to go Emain.They don't want to get ganked over and over by same opti 10L+grps (KT,Rare,Choosen,Flump and friends) and this will not change until realm mate avoid adding or remove from fight if added. So sad to see realm mates passing a 5L pug ganked by 10L+ and not help. Be FAIR with ennemy,not with realm mates! That's the actual mentality! People want an alternative to this gameplay,and this is keep capture (and daoc is designed for that). There's some guilds doing this kind of gameplay actually on each realm (BIT,Battle royale,easys albtraum,die lettanten,french blades,artilleurs d'austrasie) and they have fun,they generate activity on other hot spot than amg/mmg on emain. Puting some xp/gold bonus in frontier is useless as soon as you can get less bonus but safe spot outside frontiers.People don't want to be ganked while xping.So few ppl actually goes to ellyls spot,when they could get safer spot in llyn barfog or dartmoor. How many time does it take for a 10L+ grp to get 3500rps ? 5min if inc How many time will it take to a 4L+ PUG to get 3500rps to take a claimed keep? 20min at least How many time if upgraded doors and ppl defending? close to 1h... So your precious 8v8 gameplay will still get more reward than keep siege. And if Warmap is implemented you will get more rps because you will know where activity is,instead of roaming on empty map. You can implement some kind of guild bonus for claimed keeps,like +X% rps for killing in keep zone. This will incitate guilds to claim and defend their keep. |

So you actually want to get more rps from raiding a keep (aka 11111111111111) than from actually playing the game ? Nice.

A not upgraded keep beeing raided by 2-3 stealthers+spreadbot takes 10-15 mins...yep, sounds like a total effort to get these 3,5k+ guard mission rps for those players...honestly, think things through before you post them for every1 to see.

-Stealthers can do more rps in 15 min than 3500...
-If you put this kind of bonus,you can remove guard task. -You can put stongers gards like it is on live (yellow for lvl1-orange for 2/3-red for 4/5-purple for lvl6) -If you're not happy that ppl can get that much rps by taking keeps,roam around and kill them,that the purpose of WARMAP and that's what i whish it will generate.
Your opinion,not everyone's. What is playing the game actually? Waiting 1h to get a grp in portal keep? Get ganked by 10L+ opti grp at AMG? Getting half grp that ragequit after 2 ports(often less)? Not sure thix could be called HAVING FUN... |

That's called a strawman logical fallacy. Completing the Tajendi cloak quest in the frontier would be HARDER than getting together a group to do it in a private instanced zone. Probably take less resources from the server too. And shift population to the frontiers rather than PvE zones. Equating a shift in population from PvE to RvR as "i50 and shortcut everything" is looooooolworthy. And my comments in this thread are not about getting some specific change done, its about getting ANY KIND of incentive (probably needs to be PvE based) to get the vast majority of players on the server to leave the PvE zones and come fill the frontiers.
Apparently moving PvE rewards from PvE zones to RvR zones so that the frontier isn't COMPLETELY EMPTY as it currently is, has been equivocated by the staff as, "i50 and a shortcut"....this is unfortunate, because without some kind of PvE (item or money or something else) like incentive, I really don't see what is going to attract the hundred and hundreds of players that log on to simply go PvE every day to come into the frontiers. |

If they ragequit after every wipe they're just quitters who don't deserve to win in the first place. Everyone here started at rr1. Learn to play your characters better or suck it up and go pve 11111111111111111111111. Taking keeps is actually playing the game. Or should we remove RP gains for killing lower Rranks (because it's dumping RAs, not actually playing the game) ? Remove RP gains for ganking soloers (because it's spaming anytime, not actually playing the game) ? <insert your playstyle here> I doubt giving griefers an occasion to kill level 42 questers is a good idea. Honestly, I would like ideas that promote interesting and fair/balanced RvR rather than ideas that force every 35+ exper into the frontier zone to transform it into some DF-like grief fest.
I frequently meet people going for PvE in frontier zones, and it is by no mean completely empty. The 15/25% bonus to exp in frontiers is actually quite nice, especially when you aren't living on Albion, with their DF donination :p. Having more people forced to go at exact locations (quest points, for instance) would simply transform quests into a hell, just like exping at Ellyls or using hibernian horseroute is atm.
Or just clever people that understand that they're wasting time, because a low PUG never beats an opti high-RR fixed group that is on teamspeak. Everyone started at rr1, but not everyone started in a team ![]() |

Bleh again with the optimum high rr teamspeak groups. That excuse never gets old seems like, high RRs never use their realm abilities when fighting other high rr groups, or they have no cooldown, or as if there's no low rr enemy pugs out ever just your own.
Like I said those people don't improve because they're quitters. You can't expect to get far if you do 1-2 runs in emain and quit. Or if you really want to get high RR easily if you think that will somehow make you competitive... zerg, add, farm solos etc. like most high RRs do. Are you seriously advocating that a rr5 pug stands a chance against a high rr team ?
And sure there aren't only high RR teams. the problem compared to live is that everyone is playing in a very small area so you can't rly avoid them, with numbers which makes it impossible to team up with enough groups to beat them. |

More then 3,5k in 15 mins? Are you serious? Thats 14k/h, taking 0 risk of dying.A constant 14k/h is something that most players dream about, and you would know that if you actually took part in Endgame RvR...

There are NO FIXED GROUPS ON UTHGARD. Every group you consider "fixed" is just a PUG of a smaller circle of people. A fixed group or a team as you said a few posts earlier would require for that group to be played by the same people every time and the setup would have to be the same every time.

By your own definition, a fixed group is a pug chosen within a group of 8 people ? PUGs define groups of people which have no or loose ties together. A guild of 10 members with a few switches each day, or a group with a core of 4-5 people that are used to each other is not a PUG. @ disdain : the stress in my sentence was more on pug vs team, but RAs are also quite important...
