No,that bg wouldn't help - however, for some reason people love BG's. I made more RPs in an hour in thid than I've made in two weeks during this time in emain and 'real' rvr, without tasks.

Being able to get to rank 5 in a bg would be a boon as the rank5 abilities (and extra realm skill points) do help even our the playing field.

That being said, I'm for whatever gets action _SOMEWHERE_

One thing i liked about the Bgs, is the lack of charge/pot buffing and that i didnt need to use them or the hassel to have to use them. Which is why i think some liked BGs is because they are not forced to be buffed as much as they need to be in OF RvR. Without this hassel, you will find much more solos in BGs, then in OF. There is still grps running around in BGs, like in OF. But soloers dont have to dump 3-4 buffs, then get wiped and repeat.

That is why i believe BGs are more fun and popular. Which is where lot of the past discussions came from, for the pot/charge buffs. If pot and charged buffs are minimized/ easyer to use and less costly or not as much reasons to use so many. I bet we would see more solos/small grps in OF, even if they get wiped by a grp. They will still come back out.

You can be RR11 and still be a noob. Ask Rotbart. Such a BG wont help.

Well some cases are helpless :D

But the idea of a "BG" from 4L2 to 5L0 would be great. Only new players and good to learn. No problems with "I don't want you in grps". SInce there wouldn't be that much players you could implement Molvik as such a BG ^^ Or maybe a far bigger BG. I know the anti-BGlers will scream "Nooooo, not again a BG" but you don't have to go there! Cause they who scream "No BG" can play their chars obviously. THose who can't have a chance to learn there.

Would be Random player friendly and wouldn't change something for the good players.

Kind regards, Fin

EDIT: A BG from rr 1 to rr 5L0 with a lvl-cap of 50 would be nice, since there are some players with rr3 who dinged 50 cause Thid sucks^^

Why do you believe ppl would learn their class there? If you didn´t learn in Brae, Wilton and Thidranki, because the BG RvR is mindless zerging which requires no skill, why would that magically change once you reach 50 :?: So no, a bg from 4l2-5l0 would not help at all, the only thing it would do, is keep even more player from joining endgame RvR ( those few that actually stick around once they reached 4l2 in Thid, and don´t reroll yet another char).

yes 4l2 is still alot of rps for a bg and like Asloan said you don't learn much in bg cause its totally different from any 50 8vs8.

Higher RR won't help anyone be better at daoc. Playing a lot and dying a lot will.

Cause we are low RR and they are high RR and play good together. And you ask why only big zergs or Relic defense leaves DL^^

I'm sorry, but outside of the old Flump group in mid which had the lowest RR at 9, there are no high RR GGs or PUGs around. Also, every alb group that I know of runs with RR4/5s on a constant basis. :)

I'm only 6l8 so that lowest RR at 9 is incorrect by far :)

Wondering what happend when Emain is closed for 1 week

btw RvR isnt 8vs8.. its the main game if u go out to a RvR zone and playing in it.
I camped Svasud Solo sometimes RvR isnt that bad here maybe People are just to lazy to move their asses.

Raid Benowyc give them Instant port to Benowyc and u will see People move their lazy legs..

I sure wonder would you be talking like that if you were not the only self buffing stealther worth playing...

Or if removing your buffs was on the table too.

R4L2 - R5L2 BG is a bad idea, you can't hand hold players all the way. And saying high RR vs. low RR is a bad excuse. I've seen RR2 guild groups wipe the floor against vets.

Like some have said above, the only way you're going to get better is playing/dying more in emain, not in a BG where its disorganized and tactics/skill is alot lower.
