Same for me, I rly like to get zerged, anyway I like to see new face in Emain. Fighting EDN, RW, KT or Rare became kinda boring ... Fresh meat is always good. And tbh, i don't think that the daily Elitist/SG/Ganker whine on forum/IRC help to bring new ppl in emain :p |
|
But isn't it more fun to /cheer, /hug, /whatever another 8v8 player that you meet in a clean fight? ![]() Healowner - Alb/Merlin - The Guardians |

i add at your list of place of whine also broad chat at least on hib side. don´t let yourself fool from Old RA´s and people
who say they will be good for the server. they are NO solution.. SAY NO TO OLD RA´s!! SAY NO TO 1.69!! do NOT support that obviously wrong way in any way!! (source Musikus)

Well, from all I can say we need more guilds like early Drachengarde and Schattenblatt^^
Schattenblatt(+Ally ;P) very often organized some keepraids with 1fg+. But no inc there from the other realms.. When they run in Emain with a guildgrp (remember that mostly the highest char is a 5Lx vale or druid^^) and got zerged by KT or Rare (for example!) then they build 2 fgs and have a equal nice fight (winning and losing). And most of times they hardly try to not add or kill soloers (add works, soloers... Well you know the hot blood in RvR ;P). So we need more leaders which are not ashamed to build a 2 fg "zerg" of low RRs to counter the high RR grps. And if there are enemy low rr grps who got zerged, then they simply should build a counterzerg. The only problem here is that on Uthgard it's mostly like "omg thex have 2fg zerg, let's build 3 fg zerg to win" so the whole idea is gone again^^ To your point with the raids and epic battles: There is rarely a big fight around keeps since more and more people dislike OF-keeps (loved the NF-keep-fights, but OF is boring). You can kill all guards and open all doors without even noticing any form of inc. I guess the long distance to the keeps is also a fact which makes this hard. But I'd love to see more low-rr-zerg around! Lg Fin |

I was just about to give a nasty reply and then I noticed the (for example!). ![]() Healowner - Alb/Merlin - The Guardians |

Hmmm, if i read this Thread i dont know if i should laugh or cry.
If u run in Emain with a random Group.... some pple say they will leave if u add. some pple say they will leave if u kill that solo guy over there. U get flamed in Braod if u run in FG, coz in their opinion there are only 5pple groups out there...and u have to keep some kind of balance. u get instant whiped by high RR Flump /Mentha groups. ... ... ??? wtf... ...there are to many rules pple setting up for themselves and demand from others....or else.... Sticking to this kind of selfmade rules makes going emain a real pain. I did not go to emain for a hole while, coz some pple allways have to tell their opinions about their version of RvR... So why go emain at all? most pple stop going RvR at 4L2. WHY? It has nothing to do with fun, if u dont have a fixed set of friends/allys. U need a fixed Set of Chars. U need ppls who know how to kite, push, stick, endurun. For Thidranki u just logg in and do whatever u like....and it works somehow.... Why it works here to group a scout or a friar or wizard? Why not in emain? runing in bigger groups at small RR is in my opinion the only chance u have versus high RR Flumps and Menthas 8vs8 as a random only make small RR logg off and never come back. regards Titine |

Try to start with like a 12 player group of low RRs vs the higher RR groups and if you still loose try adding 1-2 more until the fights are fairly even. Its more fun for everyone with long even fights even if its like 10-14 of low rr inexperienced players vs a SG of 8 high rr players.
Just do it and ignore the high RR players who will whine about having to fight even fights instead of free rps. |

again this
![]() It's pretty easy to understand, don't outnumber your enemy in a way that they don't have any chance of winning. If you do, your enemy will quit. The last few days we had fights with upto 2fg's of enemies which seemed doable, hence we came back. Balanced fights are fun, rolling over a grp that didn't even know what hit them is boring. Don't add what seems like a fair fight, the losing side will almost never return. If you like soloing, try not to kill every solo you see with a smallman + The only thing anyone wants are enemies and the only way to have them is to not scare them away. |
|
just ignore the haters, do what ya want
![]() guilds have shown that 12-16 man works to get to a decent RR to play in whatever style you want. personally i'm not really too into "zerging" but it does have merits when done properly. it is very hard for a new 8man to come into emain and have fun, so speaking as a 'OMG ELITIST 8v8 PLAYAH" i say feel free to run in 12-16 or so if you are low rr, but just don't do it when you can win all the time without a challenge, because then it is fun for noone. the fun of RvR comes from the challenge i find, some of the best fights are the ones where you loose by very little or win by very little in my opinion. I two-shot Zerkers

Ur damn right Man!! ![]() |

Erm Urm, yes killed, not zerged /blush I put the "!" there cause I thought some will think this way ![]() |

i completely agree with the sentiment of this thread...
low rr guys, build zergs!! there is no point in running in 8 to get farmed by more highly skilled/high rr groups, do whats fun for you guys and screw the rest ^^. |

Hey
I play in the French Blades rvr group. We like play in 8vs8. Some rules in our guild : - When we encounter ennemies already engaged by an alb group. We watch, trying to know how win. If alb win, we leave the aera. If alb will loose, we wait and if alb loose really, we engage the fight. Now, indeed we dont like when an alb group add. Anyway, juste a little word (/y thx for add) is enough. No need ton insult in /b or something like that. Despite this, since 2-3 weeks each evening, there is a hibzerg in emain. that's the big problem. I imagine tis zerg is created to counter 1 opti alb or mid group, or maybe a zerg of 2fg alb or mid. I dont know but each evening this zerg is present. And this zerg is not low rank, but mostly HR. (redfoxe, ..). So, answer is simple, we try 1x to fight them, and we log off or move in HW or odin. Problem can be moved with alb zerg or midzerg anyway. Its a real problem for me coze the center of the game, in my opinion, is to finding fun. How i find this fun ? Fight hardly, trying to find the perfect game. I dont care to win if each ppl in the group do his job. Im happy with this if each member of the group do his job. But when you encounter a zerg ... and HR, there is nothing to do. So, we stop. I think that some zerg players must think about that too. I have seen many times too KT log off after a wipe by zerg. I understand this réaction. |

I have to say that I dislike the fact that almost every Mid FG and 50% of the Hibs gank or chase solos. Even the non-adders which just seek some nice solo RvR. Dont tell me to go to other zones because I ask other players in OG/HW and they tell me everytime that they cant find enemies.
Now why has it changed? Oldbit/Flumb influenced the overall behaviour with their brainless play ? |
