No one knows?

As far as i know they removed them cause druids with tree pets didn't fit into the new druid epic quest storyline, where you had to fight bad tree spirits.

Would be sweet to have them again and no big deal i think. Just classic style.

i heard they were removed, cause it was hard for the druids to select a target with a huge tree behind your back.

i dont think that it has something to do with a storyline

Patch Notes 1.68

Druid

- We have replaced the druid's tree pet with a black bear. This change should eliminate the problems many druids had with the tree pet interfering with visibility and targeting.

I've seen this question asked before , regardless of patchlimits I thought blue was positive about it, yet it won't have priority of course. Something like that anyway, cba to look it up atm.

i hope for 1.69, at least 1.68, cause bard gained the ability to spec *MoC* at 1.68 ... would be unfair if just alb and mid main cc-chars got moc :-/

and there are many other class-changes between 1.65 and 1.69 ... for example : a patch to 1.65 would remove the shroomcap of 15 shrooms ... cause it was introduced with 1.69

They were thinking about changing them back to trees regardless of the patch level...

Not at all, huge trees make difficult click on druids mostly, thats why they was removed, we could get an smaller version of them, bear size to take care of this problem.

Wrong, it made it harder for the DRUIDS to target anything. In any case the druids are able to kill it and make a new pet if they don't want the tree.

If large pets would be removed due to hard targetting, what about bloodletters / rock mobs in Emain?

Wouldn't make sense to modify trees alone for that reason...
