Hey,
atm im tempted to roll alb again. I Can't decide between sorc and cabby. Played both before and i like both. So my question is: usually there are many many sorcs rvr and its gonna be hard to find a serious rvr grp as a new one. How is it on Uth? Sorc overflow or sometimes still lack? On the other hand: You think you can get serious rvr grps with a spirit cabby here? Considering old ra patch. I love alb body debuff groups but haven't seen one here yet. No one ever tried? Or just lacking the classes? Fabienne - Blademaster

Theres a good amount of sorcs, but with sorcs its always the problem, that there arent that many good ones, because its one of the hardest jobs to play in an alb group and one where failure has the most severe consequences. So if you play sorc, you got to have to make yourself a name, but seeing your R10 bard, that shouldnt be your problem.
There are less cabalists, but they have to compete for a group spots with theurgists in some cases or other classes, and of course a cabalist is no must-have in an alb group, more of a nice to have. All in all, chances of getting a decent group, as a decent player, are better with sorc. |

Thx for advice. ill sleep over it. Sorc is nice but its a primary cc class again

Just go cabalist... they lvl ALOT easier and since you seem to know about what to do in rvr i don't see a reason why a grp wouldn't take you. Competing with other classes? I dunno but we allmost never run without one. Rusher grps might leave it aside for a tank, then again playing sorc in that kind of grp can't be all that fun. so caba. |

Yeah i also tend more to cabby. Sorc would be better for solo/small grp but i don't like that much on uthgard anyways (no bb) and would be nice to play a more dps focused toon since i mostly have to play bard.
Spirit Cabby was my first real rvr toon back in of and i had tons of fun with it. Think i gonna recreate this toon, but not sure if i go briton again ![]() Negative thing about spirit cabby is that pets don*t have stats so most buffs gonna be useless ![]() But all in all its gonna be easier to get a body debuff grp going when i play a spirit cabby myself. Should be easier to find a sorc then spirit cabby. And not sure about grp invites when i reveal that i got no ns ![]() Fabienne - Blademaster

being a level 39 spirit caby having leveled all the way soloing I can say: no no no! ![]() ![]() edit: had RR5-caby of all 3 specs fullspecced (body, spirit, matter) on live so I know what I'm talking about... ![]() |

Hehe. Yes i had one spirit and one matter cabby
![]() Think for xping i go matter and respec spirit later. Im also scared that debuff isn't working like it did. I remember hitting for up to 500 at si times. Not sure how much it will be here. Sure it depends on targets resists but im sure that i hit orange draconians in avalon city for like 530-570 after debuff. Hopefully ill find a screenshot of that. And that was with like no dmg ras at rr3 or smth. bb buffs thats it. Fabienne - Blademaster

yap, used to have pretty high dmg with my spirit caby too, but from what i've heard resist debuffs are rather weak here due to the split up (which I couldn't test yet, but from what I've heard it's hard to get negative-resists on any1 due to full SC body resist on most ppl (and half of 50% debuff is 25..with 26% sc-resist that leaves 1%)...however, I personally never tested it...just hearsay ![]() |

I've played both on Uthgard and have to say that while I find Caba more amusing to play I'd go with a sorc if you're gonna play in pugs. I feel caba wouldn't work that well in a grp without coordination.
Anyway I've been playing a trispec caba but with lollerRAs coming and no MoF that's no longer viable. I suppose Spirit is viable though, I've done a few grps back in Agramon with one. |

I doubt you find groups easily with a spirit caba.
Apart from KT/Ae dwa I really don't see many groups running with a caba and even for us, our hybrid setup requires the cabalist to be trispec. And tbh nearsight hurts a group a lot more than a red body debuff that will rarely be assisted on. Of course spirit caba makes sense in caster groups but there aren't any and I don't see any point to make one. You would also have to find a good body sorc to make this work, which is basically impossible ![]() I am assuming direct control.

or 3 wind theurgs, if the caba has the last spirit-dabuff, which he should have as 11/24/47 makes more sense then 11/25/46 with 25 points left for...matter ![]() |

I'm thinking of setups like
Cleric Cleric Pala Sorc Cabby Spirit Cabby Body Theurg/Cabby Sorc Body/Minstrel/Theurg quiet common and succesful in of ![]() Fabienne - Blademaster

This group can sit down when they get nearsight though ^^
I am assuming direct control.
