I don't see a problem in the RvR-Situation.

There's nearly always enough inc.
Sometimes zergs.

I don't see a problem in running 7 minutes to emain - or waiting for the port.

I played in Alb and didn't see the problem in porting-breaks.
Furthermore I would like to do more Grp-RvR in Odin's or Hadrian's.

in the custom agramon/fensalir lvl 50 BG times the end rvr was 50% or more of the players online it felt. with full frontiers the end rvr is barely 20%. i would say stepping up the pace would definitely bring some back in. replacing pad with channeler and giving all 3 realms a front line keep near HW/odins/emain is the most sensible thing to do. pretty much exactly what bloodwyne said.

Maybe you don't see the problem, but often there is just not enough patience given from some players to wait every wipe for the porter, for players that miss the porter, for new joining players that are not in the current RvR zone etc..

Even if you just miss a barrel or recharge or anything else placed in your house or even in the vault it is not possible to get this done fast, except if you wipe and have enough time to run to the vault in the portkeep.

This porter is just stealing time, classic it made sense in the first times, because the population was high enough.
Here you don't have enough RvR active people for that port timers and run ways.
We don't have to regulate the activity in the RvR zone, we have to push it, so it is worth to waste all this time 'til you have a fight.

Since the main reason is to get a good fair fight (at least for the ones that enjoy RvR and not just farming their RR) it shall be supported to give them a good chance to get it.
How many groups just leave after 1-2 wipes because there is a stronger or higher RR group opponent as the only enemy, no reason to effort more time in rebuilding and running/porting to emain again to get farmed.

600 players and 2-5 groups running average.
That might be the reason for many Uthgard players to log less often and the slow death of RvR. Classic should be performed here, but not at any cost. When this server reaches the same circumstances (the same population in this case) there is no problem with porters, but if the action is that low, that people leave groups because there is no more fun for them just porting and wasting time without haveing enough RvR fights, finding no replacement because there are not enough people for RvR, enemies leaving after 1-2 lost fights because the grp can not find any replacement and groups running half an hour or a whole one without getting one full enemie group to fight, there shall be a custom solution to lead it to the direction of a level, that needs a reduction like port timers.

Fat + from my side as well.

I meet many people that left high end rvr cause of that , not a server problem its a player problem.

THIS ,.. is the main problem ;P

not port timers or anything else

so im pretty sure this just cuts down the downtime for those that take part in the end game RvR already , but anyway im for trying it for 1-2month ;)

but imo more spots like the ellyl spot in alb , where you get ridiculous high amount of money/salvage loot is the only way to give a reason for casual players to go to emain , cause you know you will at least meet some XPers /money farmer ,..

it often happened that i went there to kill xpers/moneyfarmers and met other enemies with the same intention ,.. so this spot is actually the only reason why there is more action in HW than in Odins ;P

5 spots like those in every RvR zone and the casual RvR would be quite active i believe =)

well maybe some brainiacs will then consider OG and HW as a reasonable alternative RvR zone too =)
easy solution.

Elayia wrote:To fill in emain, and I agree with zaszeadora on this one...

We have to make emain suitable for casual players... as to how... no idea

Yes! Plz , it feels bad to only be able to RvR when all the *most decent* players you know are online and up for RvRing ;P

+ I have seen so many good and true arguments already.. this amount of zones is just too much for us

i go very often afk on the way to a main rvr zone .. doesnt matter in which realm because its realy boring to look on the screen and hope the porter comes soon...or walk from dl to emain in crauchon gorge u maybe have 1-2 fights a day ( without relic fights ) and in brefine or emain u have like 5+ always and 1 keep less per realm doesnt matter also the way from bolg to relic keep is the same from dl to relic keep for example

What I beleive is missing...

Implement RP/BP bonuses in underpopulated zones, and make it change zones daily... Fighting in Emain all the time gets old.

More reasons to take keeps than just DF. Taking keeps is quite boring so maybe add some gloubal warnings (similar to relic keep) So players have a chance to defend.

Add a bindstone in the PK's of other lands like how they are in the battlegrounds?

I prefer to play daoc than to be forced to afk on pads. So i agree with the suggestions.

Cant believe that after almost a full year the people still whining about the port timers. Can you still not accept it? ;)

The lack of players is caused by inactivity due to summer time etc (for me too), so just be patient for gamers-months :P

All in all, reducing or retrieving port timers and introducing port for hib can only be good for emain... and other rvr zones
Even if it doesn't magically solve every problems, it can only help

I vote ++

If i would have ported only about 20 times to emain in my whole uthgard playtime i would argument the same way. Plz listen to long-time-active-rvr players like griselda, when the topic is about to improve the rvr situation. It has nothing to do with whining. More a try not to wake up in the so called gamers-month in winter with only 300 to 400 uthgard players at all.

+ for the changes from my side. I totally agree with lithiums argumentation.

This is the real problem

A picture shows how Rvr should be

Maybe add an istant teleport from main border keep to cities And/or housing would help a bit
don´t let yourself fool from Old RA´s and people
who say they will be good for the server.
they are NO solution..
SAY NO TO OLD RA´s!!
SAY NO TO 1.69!!
do NOT support that obviously wrong way in any way!! (source Musikus)

We will never have a healty RVR if the new/casual players and they are a LOT dont have any chance to do emain or any other place, the usual guild groups will have any instant port to emain that they will fight each other over and over... no new faces are wellcome anymore there
