Yep @ Topa this keep defending isnt good thats why i go out of the keep and sit in front of the Hibs to show its senseless. We have 17 Albs (without anon) in Emain and Hibs have one fg. Thats why i decided to run out and let me kill just to show its not good.
Otherwise sometimes to go to enemy tk is fun with few poeple but then player should go away...not like last days in this case to place whole group with caster and hunters and shot all poeple who want out of tk down...not fair to use the lower range of guards for ranged tk kills and not good for rvr i think. Fun yes...but not tk camping long time. Back to topic...all i can say is that Shards with most population uses Thidranki and Agramon for main RvR zone. We have still those LDs last days btw. If test upper named zones and it works i prefer one of them for RvR. Greetings to all ![]() |

Just dun' forget: Your current problem is zerg. Choosing an almost "single keep" situation wont solve that... the zerg will be even more unavoidable
![]() The first solution might also provide the basics for a relic system. |

Yes, the problem is zerg.. but you can't refrain the community to play in RvR. Everybody wants to go rvr in Emain, that's a fact. That's why there're so much zerg. Last night, 19 realmates were in Emain... When we're going in RvR, we don't say to all the realm to come to help. Guys see there're some actions and teleport to the rvr zone. It's the same for Braemar and Wilton. <img src="http://s142473203.onlinehome.fr/daoc/small.php?player=Merry">

Mal mein Statement dazu:

Gruss Sethor Characters:

it s cause there is no other thing really fun to do... so we would need other things to do than rvr... or, an other solution is the over realm twinking, but when you do that some people tell you bad things. but it s a way to make rvr more fair. <img src="http://www.fallenearth.fr/daoc/daoc2.php?player=Panachou">

Alandrian mentioned a good point:
Often people just claim keeps to get that xp-bonus to level their twink. And to make sure enemies wont retry to take keeps, they zerg. Presto already had a good idea to avoid this kinda behavior: Now: Neutral claimable keeps giving your Realm xp-bonus for claiming it. Idea: General XP-bonus for all realms, but change functions of the neutral keeps in the following way. Those who claim neutral keeps will not increase the XP-Bonus of your realm, but instead reduce enemy realm XP-Bonus. Of coz u need 3 neutral keeps (maybe each it of associated with one realm) to make it work. I like this idea, cause it allows the weakest realm to have a xp-bonus to get stronger. _____________________________ Another point: All over emain xp-bonus. I totally agree with alandrian to give emain a keep-independant xp-bonus. To lure more level groups. As a matter of facts to level in emain is really hard work and should be awarded. DF as RvR Zone already has some awards - those incredible Demon Seals. _____________________________ I also agree with all people, who cry for more keeps or space in general. Last days having RvR with all those LDs near major spots, i realized we almost dont have space to drive. _____________________________ And finally I think all of us agree - dispite of beeing Mid, Alb or even Hib: Put those level spots away from the damn Teleporter Keeps!! I dont mean just Gobos at HTK, but all level spots. I think a appropriate distance is f.i. the distance between mushrooms and ATK. Greetz Nes __________________________ Ps: I would appriciate a RvR Zone that is fast zoneable. I know a guy, who need 10min++ to load emain, tough using classic interface/texture... If u have any idea how to increase his performance, please tell me or him (chaosth)^^ |

oneee moooment.. if u handle it that way,the weakest realm will still have a xpbonus; lets say its 100%, every keep does -25% for the 2 other realms;but only 25%,bc they cant attack the keeps. the strongest realm will have their 100%,if they defend the keeps good enough.
still wont be that good eh? Realm versus Realm means:
Everybody of some Realm, against everyone of the other Realms.. <img src="http://opakwertheim.mine.nu/sig.php?chars=Fortius;Jelhenna;Mhaerion;Elkhas;Kheran;Geneva;Deheaeniera;Kaeron;Throgrus;Colibri;Khalinos;Rhelaine;Kheldan;He |

@jrhadden - I dont see a difference between givin an exp-bonus for claimed
keeps compared to reducing exp-bonus. This would be almost the same. However, the idea you are following seems to be good. A keep-independent exp bonus for exping in emain due to the danger of exping there and probable attacks of other realms players. This would also make people roam around and not follow the currently casual warpath ![]() As alternative bonus for keeps you could boost RP bonus capping at maybe 2000RP / player (almost live-like). This would also give new players a chance to compete with Uthgard veteran players. Greets Sethor Characters:

Assigning Keeps to realms (each realm having 1 keep) and reducing Bonus for loosing your keep implies:
- u just need to defend your keep to have your bonus - defending keeps needs less ppl then claiming one - less motivation for bonus-defending-zergs to stay in full power ( of coz it wont effect rvr'ing-zergs ) - what about df? df is open for your realm, till you loose your keep. - the early morning hours ( time with only a few RvR'ing ppl ): Each realm can have max Bonus and access to DF. U can also not* assign keeps to realms, but instead say claiming a keep reduces Bonus of both* enemy realms. There is only a little change: - the early morning hours ( time with only a few RvR'ing ppl ): Each realm can have max Bonus. Nothing else changes compared to what we have now in emain. Just my thoughts. Greetz Nes _________________________ Dont forget the only reason to lvl is to RvR ... Last edited by jrhadden on Jul 29, 2006 12:06, edited 1 time in total.

The re-introduction of the Guardtower already change some tactic in RvR…
