According to live :

Attempting to equip a weapon without at least half of the required Envenom skill of the applied poison will cause the poison to be removed from the weapon.

...

Level 1 poisons will no longer be able to be used by non-assassins – these will be correctly removed from weapons when equipped by a character that does not have the Envenom specialization.

they made that fix because ppl abusing with ass env..
will we see a similar fix here ?

+we will / we see assassin with 0 envenom + viper3 only friends with enough skill in poison are needed...

If this is the way it is now ... it was not like this at Uthgard's current and future patch level. Infact at one time there wasn't a level check on live when the poison procced, there was only a check on skill level when applied. Using lifebane at lvl 20-24 was sick!!

Except that +envenom is a skill and viper is an RA. You aren't saving RA points by not speccing in a skill line.
Alb - Eternitys, Eternityz, Spectres, Prophecy, Phantasm, Swarm
Mid - Spheres, Cicada, Aalea

Eternitys - If were allowing custom changes, why would the staff choose to remove a very very good and highly accepted custom change such as barrels? Then on top of that, use the "it's livelike" excuse as a reason for removing them? If staff are so concerned about livelike and that's the direction the staff wish to go, I'd fully support a 100% livelike server. However if there are custom changes on the server, then using the "livelike" excuse is being nothing more then hypocritical.

Staff - Locked!

Just like a buffline, you gain a 25% bonus, to such poisons like the dot. That is the benifit for being the assasin and being more convinent for being a assasin with poisons. As i have alrdy proven, poison sharing on live is and has always been possible.

So what patch does it say other wise ? Must be something brand new, as i tested all this on live, not too long ago.

tested right now on live - not working

atm we see some assassin-class with 0 envenom using lifebane (lvl 50 poison)

at 5L0 u have to have 35 in envenom.
so they saved 35 points and spend it into critical strike..... or sth other

Paranoia much?

I have met NO assassins who has done this..

also please when you quote patchnotes leave a link or atleast what patchnote it is from

afaik this is a 1.90+ or 1.100+ patch, so will never come here, however staff has said they will look at the issue of non assassins using poisons while not being with an assassin

35 spec levels, in points it would be: 629points.

its not assassins who are trying to save points that are the problem.

The problem is that "botting" is supposed to not happen here, but venom bots are certainly allowed. Because there buffs last after you log the bot out.

Its like if druid/cleric/shaman put their buffs into a charge or potion that could be house vaulted. Banning dual log wouldn't stop buffing at all at that point.

And it doesn't stop venom botting one bit.

For the longest time, sharing poisons have been always easy to do, even easyer then uthgard, since on live you can trade them to a char and log out and the poisons will still be on the non assasin. You alrdy have custom changes to nerf this feature. The only exception i could consider, would be if pot/charge buffing had gotten greatly limited, which would mean poisons should also be limited, to prevent botting on both issues, as each class has what they need, by what they get, not from outside sources, like trade skill, rare item charge, or bonuses from other classes.

@Eclipsed
Yeah and while they are at it remove RPs,SI classes and all crafting, now that would be classic.
Why shouldn't I get the perks from trades I lvled or pay gold/rps for charges ?
Why must you try and push your views on a thread that has nothing to do with "pot buff botting".
I want to say more but I should be nice I guess.

It is related because i said i wouldnt agree to limiting poison sharing, unless there was limits on pot/charge buffing, since they impact the game simularly. Why should a assasin gain buffs, while a self buffer, like a ranger for example, should be limited on gaining poisons, since on live poison sharing wasnt difficult, as it is on uthgard. That is how it is on topic. Your just focusing on the bigger pot/charge discussion and ignoring what is actualy being said.

And ive suggested limiting, meaning 1 pot , 1 charge. Which gives use of a rare charge and a pot buff. While there is sitll many uses of alchemy, like heal pot, end pots, procs, reactives and so on. Alchmy has more uses then pot buffs, even though many only use there alchmist as a buffbot. ( Use to proved extra buffs they cant get without a alchmist, ether there own or sold to them by another alchmist ).
