Hello
Currently my laptop performances (Nvidia Go 7400 with 512Mo Turbo cache Ram, Turion 64 proc and 2Go of RAM) are quite low, with very low dps when in RvR (when more than 20 ppl around: need to decrease clipping, need to remove ppl names, need to remove effects) For some reasons, I would like to replace my winXP laptop by an iMac (Intel Core 2 Duo 3,06 GHz, 4 Go RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4670 with 256Mo dedicated) but I am affraid that DAoC will not work with better performances on that hardware Some of you have facts to answer this questions? I DON'T want a topic for an open fight between pro Mac and pro PC. Just want to know if this imac can be able to run DAoC with good perf in mass RvR Thx a lot |

No idea? From anyone?

It won't work on OSX but it should work if you use bootcamp to install a windows partition. You still have to live with the hassle of rebooting to play daoc (if you use OSX for your regular stuff).

depending on the RAM and CPU of your iMac, you can run a Virtual Machine like VMWare Fusion or Paralles to run Windows.
You dont have to reboot, just start Windows on the running Mac os X like a regular Programm. |
