Im very much enjoying uthgard it brings back alot of memories playing through nessie and running through Jord. Im only level 18 atm and I was wondering hows the rvr was? Is it like I remeber, the huge keep battles . Its seems like it but Im far from 50 and was wondering what the vets on this server thought. Thanks for your time.

Yep, always hib fault!

Pls more QQ :)

RvR in our current BGs is okay. You will find more enemies than you wantXD

End RvR is atm boring. Too many one-zone-concentrated, buffpoter, adder, x-realmer and high RRs.
Maybe the old setting changes(BGs until 34, better expspots/bonus in OF, old RA system, [maybe buffpot/charge nerf]) in near future help a bit to improve RvR again.

the huge keep battles?
Only sometimes Relicraidkeep defend/attack :)
OF Keeps sucks a bit. Not a lot of tactics/possibilities are needed to capture one and such a radar like NF warmap is missing.

yes there are battles around the relic keeps where players appear in vast numbers (not compareable to the starting time of daoc ofc but albion usually gets around 90 ppl for such raids..sometimes less sometimes more)
theres also a good 8v8 community here (which has a hard time sometimes as theres also a community which have no respect for this type of gameplay); solo rvr (if u arent a stealther) is possible only if u are really thick skinned
..looking at my chars u can probably see that i must pretty much enjoy the rvr overall here, and thats the truth, i think you will like it :)

depends a lot on the time frame that u have for playing, US east coast means:

the action starts about 3 am, takes a peak about 10-12 am, goes more and more population until 6 pm, then starts falling til about 10 pm is almost none in emain.

about realm behavior:

albs have some very good guild groups
mids have 1-2 very good guild groups
hibs have no good guild groups atm

albs have stealth zergs most of the time and hibs try to do the same thing with less efectiveness(most solo mid stealthers must be bored of this by now).

everyone in the server QQs about groups adding in the server, so far i havent really seen anyone passing thru without adding or just watching policy.

Atm a bit lacking of population coz of summer, let's see in september.

Mid underdog realm atm.

Hib side: at lvl 50 u will hardly join a good grp coz they tend to grp players they already know. Hib pugs usually low skilled/rr, forced to zerg coz of 8vs8 chain rel vs higher rr 8-man grps.

If u are a good player in mid u will find a grp in a decent pug even if you are 4 or 5l. So far I've found alb pugs harder to kill than hib ones.

Gank situation: hib side the chosen, very hard to kill, rerolling on mid atm. High rr tank/pug grp roaming in the last days, fun to fight with.

Alb side: killer tomatoes not logging in the last times, unfortunately high rr chars often tend to pug with other high rr and are very hard to beat if a high rr theurg is in grp, easier with caster grp to beat em.

Mid side: hard to see full guild gank grps now. If you are good you can easily have fun and get a grp in a good pug, often thare are just no classes even to fill a 8 man pug. Maybe we are lacking savages/warriors atm.

Server is overpopulated by stealthers, very often roaming in grps and adding all the fights/forcing soloers and 2-3 man grps to quit or try to form a bigger grp (when possible).

Legendary weapons no longer supported on uthgard, they were implemented on real servers to balance phisical defense.
Maybe the biggest pain which a tank grp suffers is to fight an alb grp with an high rr pet-spammer theurg with phisical defense 5. A 6l zerk with aotg2 + vendo mode hits a 9l theurg for 200 damages each swing more or less. If you kill the theurg, perfect recovery+mcl+mana barrel and the pet spammer is up again. :D
Hlinn - Shaman 3L2

DEIRA - O: Killaloth - Bluntmaster 10L0 OFF

Past Shards:
Thidranki Classic: Troya - Nightshade 11L0; Troya - Healer 11L0
Ariadolis: Troya - Scout 10L8
Uthgard 1.0 - Hlin - Shammy 6L9

Since Emain population is kinda low, sometimes even in primetime, most of the action you'll find there is 8vs8, stealthers (Often Zerg&Adds, some fair solo) and smallgrp action (If there aren't out many enemies fg tho :D).

8vs8 is sometimes possible, sometimes not. Maybe CalvoHP doesn't pan much, cause there are some guilds wich often run in Emain and don't add (Except threeways): KT, Rare, Warlords, Realm Hunters, The Chosen, GDRW, DG (Sometimes) are some of them. As you see it's a pretty huge community

Freefrags, Hexagone, Corvus Albus (lol) are guilds which add every time or even run stuck with other grps, making 8vs8 kinda impossible while they both run in Emain.

People complain about hib cause Freefrags & Hexagone are hibs guild and indeed they add/zerg much. They aren't the only ones with this policy anyway, albion&mid low-rr/casuals pugs often add aswell.

So I understand when people laugh or they say it's boring cause indeed sometimes it is, but sometimes (if you are lucky) you can have nice rvr sessions :)

KT had this no-add policy before I joined them and I'm pretty sure they don't add when I'm not playing :) About Warlords and Realm Hunters all I can say it's that they don't add our fights, I saw them several times passing near us without adding.

My point was that yeah, I agree that "everyone in the server QQs about groups adding in the server", but you can't deny that a nice part of the Uthgard RvR comunity don't add on 8 vs 8 :)

Nope.

We only add on hib zergs when doing a counter, if we don't log by then that is...

Save for some ppl we particularly dont like.

Warlords, or whatever their grp/guild was called before, didn't play fair till a lot them were rr8+. Jump's grp were notorious for it months ago.
Well shrug I'm happy they show some respect now, same for DG.

in my opinion u get mad too fast .. if u dont know good people who can you join in rvr you will get frustrated...

cuz the most time there are only GG's / high rrs running in the frontiers since the other people who are already frustrated or dont have much chances vs the higher/more expieriences groups play in battlegrounds all time ...

adds are the worst thing i think but its a part of daoc ... on the other side there is not really much respect to every gameplay
i just hear "nobody can forbid you to attack realm enemies" but the people who prefer 1v1 or 8v8 are being forgotten

but seriously

everyone should make his own expierience and get his own opinion

I love how people here don't consider threeway adding. If the "8v8" community had any brain "threeway" wouldn't be possible because the two already engaged groups would instantly turn on the adding one.

From a newer player to Uthgard point of view the BG's were a ton of fun. Often times it could turn into a zerg there was alot of smaller skirmish action at all times of day.

Can't say much for emain yet but hopefully soon :)
