Agree, it does seem like those who QQ about solo state wants a duel zone, something I do not approve of (and neither does the staff) |

Not even a dual zone with no reward? No money/xp/rps from kills in the area.
Edit: Not exactly a dual zone but area were 1v1 is done. I'd love to fight albs to, but /duel challenge and go isn't so great. The problems for soloers are numerous:
- the 95% of players use emain for rvr -> just one main hotspot (sometimes you can find inc in mmg too, but if there is noone, it's not fun to wait for hours) -> soloers, groups, adders, all is concentrated at amg; - the 95% regularly add on fights, okay, they can do this, no rules again add, this is DAoC too, etc, etc, but -because of first point- it's difficult to avoid it and in the meanwhile stay in a spot with an acceptable number of fight (it's not because of rps, it's simply because no fight -> no fun); - in primetime there are enough people in rvr that go to OG too, but this is not everyday, and as i wrote only in primetime (a lot of players can't play always at the same hour) -> sometimes you can go OG, but if you found a lot of fun -> a lot of spam -> solo gankers soon will come. If you found less fight -> less fun -> less spam -> no gangkers, but hey: 4 inc in a night it's not paradise! - solo rvr is really hard: all players play at max (buff, charges, super tp, ecc) of their possibilities, many of them are insane high rr for a newbie (remember a night in OG when there are four 10L+ and me lol) and they show very good skills. This is good (i mean, it's a challenge so imho it's fun), but a lot of low rr players are scared and they don't even more try (after a dozen of /rel) to solo. So they group, add, etc. I think this is normal, the problem is that often they continue to add or group at about 8L+ too. Maybe they like it, and sure we can't forbid it. - there are different way for solo that are still viable, sure, like horse route or portal keeps campering, or the way from mmg to amg in emain, but hey imho this is a bit lame and a lot of time no fun at all, i mean this is easy kill -> less fun, maybe a lot of rps, but as i said imho are not rps that make the fun. - RvR population is incredibly poor for the numbers we have on uth. I mean in the primetimes we can see about 200 players online per realm, and we see max just a pair of regular groups in emain for each realm plus a dozen of stealthers (between emain and OG) for each realm. All the others? I don't think they are simply waiting for Old RA, sorry. - the previous point lead to the last one (that closes the circle with the first one eheh): actually we use only emain for RvR. OG action is really poor, we have to be serious: people that "want" to do RvR here are not enough for creating an acceptable number of inc in all the tree regions. ![]() |

So some people want some what arragnged fights, but not dueling and not even RPs, just a challenging fight. Be able to ambush, but not enough to be too overwelming .... Well basicly that is dualing. If you expect a fight, ambusing is less likely, which is done in dueling. There is no adding and you can face anyone and challenge them. You can also pick your enemy and choose a high rank or low rank, ask for it to be buffpot less or limited and so on.
If you want to show your mad soloing skills, in a controlled enviroment, that is basicly not a realistic rvr situation, then dueling is where it is at. But those mad skills means nothing in real rvr situations. Out there, you have to know how to hunt your solo enemy, meaning to learn to trade. Yes that is easyer to do with a stealther, but is possible with a visable. Know what to do when you get ambushed. Know how to hide , even if you dont have stealth ( Inside tree brush, behind a tree trunk, sloping hill, behind some objects ). Know how to indentifiy your enemy, to know what to expect from them, and prepare for the worse, depending on there RR and what they could possibly have. All of that isnt needed in a duel, as it is all controlled. So if you want that, find a duel. If you want to really solo, practice survival and try other zones. Yes you may think horse routes or traveling paths are lame, but what do you want, everyone to be civil at the gates, so everyone knows to go there to duel lol. This is a medevil time period, and your enemy wants to kill you, there is nothing civil about it, just accept it and play the game how youd like and find ways to work around your troubles. Here is a tip, if you want to catch someone on horse route or just rvring in diffrent zone then emain, pay attation to who has DF and what it means. Example if mids own DF. That means anyone that is 50 or 40+ will possibly go into df, then there own RvR Zone, so traffic maybe less in there zones. So if mid has df, it maybe better to go to hadrian and the other alb zones. Look around for awhile, watch the gates, or learn the horse paths , so you know where to look , to catch an enemy hading out. Remember in alb and mid, both there horse routes go all the way to odin/hadrian, unlike hibs, which only go half way. |

soloplayers need to have either stealth or speed. any other class runing arround solo is free rps. yes you can solo with every class but those without those 2 tools omg. with the botlenecks amg/mmg/hmg not realy fun.
to many sneaks are currently ruining the server and i feel like this will even get whorse. old style ra's wont change anything. pots and charges are to much in the favor for sneaks. |

To be in RvR mean to be in war, so nothing "arranged", this is part of the fun too and i agree we can't find it in a "controlled enviroment" as you call it, so the problem is not this. Moreover I don't want something civil (implied rofl here), but i think camping horse route or similar is lame and no fun for me (i repeat: for me), but you can do this obviously, i'm just saying that I don't want, and probably that this is not the idea of "solo rvr" that the majority of people have. In my post I've just analysed the situation of RvR in Uthgard, sure you don't agree with some point, but it is a fact that "people that "want" to do RvR here are not enough for creating an acceptable number of inc in all the tree regions". And it leads to consequences for all the RvR form (solo, small groups, 8vs8, add, zerg). The problem for me is not to
because i do this every day i play. The problem is: why we are so few in RvR? I think we can sum this thread, mainly, in this question. Because if there are more player -> more zones are rich of inc -> more easy is to choice were to go -> more easy is to play the way you want (solo, small groups, add, 8vs8, zerg, etc). In conclusion, just two tip for you mate, sincerely and neighborly: 1) stop give everyone and everywhere suggestion, hint, ecc about everything! They are useless, and often sad too. Trust me. ![]() 2) stop with this tale of roleplay, medieval times, realm proud, and so on. Nothing to do with Uthgard state of RvR. ![]() ![]() |

why don't everyone just stop the bickering and whining and enjoy the game who cares, its a game made to be played no matter how its setup, some like to solo and wait some don't some like groups some don't who cares, just log in play the game and log off enjoy time with your friends in game you have met be apart of something then worrying about everything else just ..

1. Yes hints and info is useless, when those who are QQing have one idea of what they want and refuse to deal with the situation. I can find solos , with visable or stealth. It maybe easyer with stealth, but if you dont got stealth, then you got other benifits as a non stealthers ( higher melee, more health, spells and so on ). 2. The reason it has nothing to do with uthgard, is only because of your play style and that is your choice, as it is many peoples choice to cross realm, and exepct everyone to play in a pvp enviroment, even though its realm vs realm. I dont expect any realm pride from those who have alts on other realms, who play in rvr. That is something uthgard needs to address , as it wasnt so easly possible on live. @ Kardaff - Its true, if less QQed and just went out, there would prob be more out there ![]() |

It's easy to say this as a stealther in a stealth-zerg realm. If you got insta-killed out of stealth by 3 Crit Shots from 3 different [archers] every time you walked up to amg... Or had to wait 10 minutes for camouflage, and then wait another 10 minutes to get that perfect shot on an NS... only to be added by his [archer] buddy that you couldn't see because he was camouflaged... If this was the routine for you--not the exception, the routine--then you wouldn't be bragging about all the great solo action you're getting in Emain.

Another problem for soloers is organized stealth zerg. I like to solo with my shammy but if black adders are around I log out or go afk waiting for a grp and farm em time to time.
That's fine when u can easily get a grp, but many other players are forced to quit the game when a fg of black adders is tapping a gate, coz it's just impossible to solo/duo. It often happens that there are no classes to build more than 1 or 2 fgs in mid, so after a while ppl get bored of being ganked without a grp and log off. A possible solution to fix the problem could be: - stealther solo kill = 100% of rps - stealther grp kill = 20% of rps he would get in grp That's because Uthgard (especially during the summer) doesn't have the numbers of a real server and grped perma adding stealthers force ppl to log out, lowering more and more server's population.
