With the assumption that old RAs are inc sometime in the very near future, i present this question to you..which of the two duos is better?

The way i see it, Pros with a BM: Det 5, the ability to tank, DF RvR, Slam, Easier to peel tanks. Cons: Not as effective vs numbers without a blanket mezz, no spec buffs for attack speed (old RAs might be able to fix this, but at a higher RR-charge items and pots as well)

Eld Pros: Ranged DPS, nearsight, disease, ranged snare, secondary mezz
Cons: Stealther bait, somewhat ineffective vs a det 5 tank, limited in close quarters (df), difficult to peel with aggro

Your thoughts? Informational only please

well if an eld got an add which is mezzimmune your whole dmg is gone.

And Eld also has no specbufs which hurts more on a caster imo.

I did alot of duo runs and i would take an bm over an eld everytime.

With toa and bb bard eld can be nice but bard + tank is far superior to bard + caster.

With bard, BM is probably your best option. Ment might work pretty well too.

If you're aiming to play with OF RAs i would stongly advice eld/bard duo. With ns and disease+dd/snare+ bard speed/endu twist you will be pretty much untouchable for all meleers. Only problem could appear when facing buffers with resists or stealths but everything is possible to kill^^

Till OF come i would advice bard/bm. ATM charge tanks can offer high dps and nice defensive skills. Not to mention good charge+ slam spam tactic that can save your bard for rezz even vs fgs:)

Ofc you can also play bard/ment or my favorite one bard/druid. These are however rather hardcore^^
