Hey guys,

I'm making a sorc since i have yet to group with a decent one. Just curious what the usual specs were/are.

I would plan on running a tank heavy group and just curious on what you woudl spec to lvl up to 40 and then what your end spec would be. Also the lvl of importance on RA's. I always play a tank/healer but im a vet player so i feel i coudl do this class some good...

Keep in mind charm is bugged here and has been for years.

Either 37 Body 39 Mind or 44 Mind 31 Body. Dig up a char builder to see what that gives you cause it's a lot .

Oh if you play in a caster grp you can go full body spec aswell but I doubt that you do so never mind.

what's bugged about charm? im only about a month in to uthgard. and have my first 50 as a cleric.

It's 39body/37mind.

And thats the spec I prefer. I tried both specs years ago on live and the 39/37 spec fits better for my playstyle.

On live you were able to charm mobs up to lvl50 with the 32charm. Here it doesnt work that way. It's more like the way minstrel charm works. You can only charm a lvl50 mob reliable with a 50mind spec.

With my 37mind spec I even have trouble charming blue mobs higher then lvl 41/42.

not the OP but what is a good way to spec for leveling up? is sorc pom wanted like a mentalist and will group like crazy or should i spec for damage and rely on solo mostly?

You basically have got 2 options.
Either you spec full body and go mostly solo, as you will have trouble to find groups without pom. For full body i would recommend the usage of pom pots
Or you spec full mind or at least split spec mind/body. Well it sucks solo, but you'll be able to find groups.


If I would level up my sorc a second time I would go full body till 20 and then splitspec up, focussing on the next higher pom every 10levels. (Pom2 at 20, pom 3 at 30, pom 4 at 40).

I'm aiming at 39 body 37 mind @ lvl 50.

I went full 37 mind before I went body and I'm not regretting it. I'm 41 now and able to solo people no problem, the mana regen is amazing for grouping as well.

The crappy part is getting that high if you have to solo at all, stick to grouping up to that level and you'll be fine.

I managed to get lucky and got a group until 10. Ive been trying to find a group for a week now (just getting unlucky i guess) and tried to solo, but geez it takes like 4x longer than mince.

i put 50/50 into body/mind and usually start the fight with two DDs then root/mezz, but normally it's resisted even by yellows so I end up just knocking things down with the stick. that however takes up to two mins usually, so I barely level at all.

is there an easier way of getting to 20?

Till 20 you can also du killtasks

Stick and heal pet is how i leveled mine.

This time it is about realm abilities because I don't know what to get and what lvl the skills should be...so I would be happy to see some advices

LW1 when you have the point

Aim for serenity4/aug dex4, but when you have extra points you can get some other RAs like MOF (mastery of focus) or ichor. But in my opinion they are less important.
At RR6, respec and get purge 3, then get higher serenity/aug dex again.

My current spec at RR9 :
Purge 3
Serenity 4
Aug dex 4
MOC 1
LW 1
MOF 2
