suggestion to this:
http://www.uthgard-server.net/modules.p ... sc&start=0

give all players with 35bow (or 35 thrown weapons or 35 crossbow :P ) or more free levels of lifter.
something like this
35 bow: lifter II
45 bow: lifter III

should be a quite easy fix and no one would complain...

I think they should just temp fix it by changing the weight of

Arrows
Poions
Throw Weapons
other simular items with this issue

To just 0 weight, as having more of these items doesnt make you stronger, but having it weigh twice as much limits how many you can hold and allows exploit of getting encumbered by debuffs. 0 weight is a better option then 2x weight , till they can implement the code they may not have time to do right now.

Unless the staff thinks having tons of arrows/poisons and so on would give them some kinda advantage, compared to what they should have, compared to the disadvantage of having them 2x.

Why not making something like this :

for all items but arrows :
weight = weight *2;
max allowed weight = max allowed weight * 2;

Should only be done database side and not source code side, no ?

All archers should take fletching. There's no good reason not to.

low priority, first all Old RAs have to be implemented 100% bugfree :P
until that, better get fletching up to ~500 and carry arrow-materials instead of arrows.

That is true, but keep in mind all the archer bugs have been around for awhile, even before old RA system was decided finaly. :P

This is not the solution. Many have chosen other crafts and do not wish to throw away a considerable craft skill to then purchase Fletching. You want to give me the option of training more than 1 craft then sure , i'll take Fletching. Otherwise... we are on a custom server which allows no buffbot and no trading with ones own self ( unless i buy a house which is more problem and not solution) so to me that means i must train Alchemy to furnish my extra buffs. Suggesting to drop our old crafts and get fletching to 500 for arrow crafting is not viable solution in this enviorment unless you have no craft or you actually do have fletching as your craft.

I like the free lifter at 35 bowspec and the 0 wieght suggestions as i would not have to alter my character to compensate for a bug which should never exist in the first place.

Ya that is what i faced awhile back, when i had my shar ranger, he was my Alchemist, then i find out how arrows weigh more then they should, and how crippling it was when you get debuffed. Anyone that alrdy has a trade skill, shouldnt be forced to respec because of a bug, that can be simplely fixed by changing it to 0 weight, till the advanced code can be worked on, to make arrows weight currectly.

Leaving it at 2x , because its not a priority and its a time consuming fix, isnt the only option, when it can be just changed too 0 weight, along with poisons and so on. There is no reason why this isnt a reasonable temp fix to the problem. And if this was done, im sure some of the archers would be happy with such temp fix, and not think there is some kinda bias toward archers. This also helps assasins and others with weight issue items.

I believe a LGM weaponcrafter can skill up fletching to 500ish

I'll add a correction: all archers should take fletching when they start their character. :P

Fletching isn't a real fix for this problem, by the way. I still have to carry around a large number of arrows so that I don't have to stop to craft after every fight. I'm still carrying about 110/155 in weight when fully loaded.

If I get hit by str/con debuff I am rooted to the ground.

So do you think there should be no temp fix to this bug, and all archers should just get Fletching to 500, so they can avoid this bug. You where leveling up a ranger right , or got stuck or something. Well if you get to 50, see how many arrows youl carry and dont forget to have fletching :P
