Im not sure if anyone asked this before, but how come there are only 4 Bgs and why will the new BGs stop at 35? Why can't we have BGs starting at 15 and basically all the way to 49?
Is that hard to program or has it been voted in to be that way? I would love to be able to RVR all the way through to 50. I believe PVEing after lvl 35 is going to be very tedious and going to frontiers that early is a suicide. |

It hasn't been voted about anywhere, and certainly isn't hard to program as the current BGs are up to 49, it's the staffs own decision and an extremely custom change with which a large number of people here disagree.

Spot on. Not to mention you'll be like rr2 after bg's. Hf ![]() |

so why not accommodate everyone and make BGs for 15-49?
I dont get it:) |

Because it's classic which is the goal of this server. Regardless of wether it makes sense or not I'm afraid. |

I personally was hoping for an additional BG after what's planned now. (For instance a NF BG like Molvik that goes from 35-39.) This would at least close the gap to 50 better and give players between 35 and 39 -which are still pretty useless in end RvR- still a chance to do some decent RvR at their level.
However, staff seems to have decided differently and went classic all the way regarding BGs. I hope however that they won't be greedy on RR caps so players can stay in BGs long enough to cap out XP before they cap out RR AND get a somewhat decent RR before they get deprived of their possibility to get RR relatively easily before having to go to OF. The main idea to stop BGs from going all the way to 49 is to spice up end RvR activity, which is very much needed currently. |

It will be one hell of a boring grindfest form 35 to 50 now, not to mention that youll start out 2 full rrs lower then before.

and those rr2 are basically useless as you will spend most of those points on pre-req's

Even then, which group of RR5+ will be willing to take you?
And I sincerely doubt that a RR2+ group of pugs can even make a dent in the armors of RR4+ group :s. The only way people might some rp then will be by DF (so df sweeps will grow worse) & RelicRaids or the always so fun frontier missions. "The past is what made the present, and is a guide line for the future." "A cynic is someone who knows the price off everything, but from nothing the value." "Memento mori, so you can live"

Nobody ever said RR2 (let alone 2L2) would be the cap for Caledonia btw.

I bet this is an attempt to make more players forced into the rvr zones
![]() remember this comes with: 1. better xp spots 2. better xp bonus this alone makes the rvr zones like a better zone than DF and you can actually as a low lvl grp go farm lvl grps easy because you don't have to pass "high" mobs before getting to the other grp of players + its open at all times |
|
well the rr2 people will just be free rp - no matter how you look at it.
makes no difference if they are lvl 35 or lvl 50 - they will have no worthwhile ra's and so even if they group/zerg they will still have a hard time in rvr I two-shot Zerkers

The key point here is that for those level grps the XP/RP they get from hunting other XPers will be a very precious source of character improvement, while for the established lvl 50 smallman, solo and FGs, spending time roaming far and wide to get some RPs from a some XPer grps here and there probably won't pay off as much as roaming the hotspots. That's why getting ganked while leveling in OF will not be as bad as it was in Agramon. |
|
Yeah, becouse 8mans are the real danger here and 50 solos/duos/tries wont AT ALL gank levelers.

Sure, cant wait to get uber xp at uber xp spots at lvl 35...
I can barely pass amg at lvl50 rr5+ without a fg, sometimes even with, what makes you think ill have better luck avoiding stealth/nonstealth zergs camping chokepoints with a lvl 35 2l2 char LOL? |
