I don't understand the issue honestly all the hybrids that don't get det have ranged abilities they can use when rooted. all realms get access to de mezz
what's the problem??

Not trying to be hostile but if YOU decide a class is gimp don't play it. If YOU want to play a class you think is gimp get with your friends/guildmembers and figure out a way to play that character that is fun.

btw loving this classic server, kinda nostalgic to read 7 year old arguments.

Serious. I thought "savages are hybrids" ended in 2004.

Savages are considered light tanks and receive the same costs for det, purge, access to PF, as all the other light tanks did in OF. They weren't really ever considered hybrids....just unique light tanks. They use their hp pool for abilities versus hybrids using a mana pool (unless this was ever changed).
Alb - Eternitys, Eternityz, Spectres, Prophecy, Phantasm, Swarm
Mid - Spheres, Cicada, Aalea

Eternitys - If were allowing custom changes, why would the staff choose to remove a very very good and highly accepted custom change such as barrels? Then on top of that, use the "it's livelike" excuse as a reason for removing them? If staff are so concerned about livelike and that's the direction the staff wish to go, I'd fully support a 100% livelike server. However if there are custom changes on the server, then using the "livelike" excuse is being nothing more then hypocritical.

Staff - Locked!

How does one get their class declared *unique* despite the obvious?

I'd like to broker a deal for my fellow Friars if I can.

But won't the people of 2010 who can think for themselves and play on a server that is in itself a monument to my company's illogical descisions figure out that that doesn't make any sense?

nah, once you go back and get friars det, there will no longer be a need in the future for you to make the trip, which means friars will never get their det, which means you will have to make the trip, which means they do get their det, which means you don't have to make the trip, so they don't get their det which means....

What about root? Who has deroot?
And only a few hybrids get decent ranged abilities.
Melee hybrids: saveges, champs and reavers get jack ******!
Except saveges that get det...

What about if SOMEONE ELSE decides to gimp your class along with dozens of others for YOU?

What then?

I rolled a reaver here when we had a semi normal NF setting, RAs and maps.

Who said anyone declared savages unique? I said they were unique, meaning, compared to other light tanks (what I thought we were discussing in relation to hybrids), with their ability to enhance themselves through the loss of HP. I was under the assumption I didn't need to explain every detail of why I said unique, but I can in the future so no one gets lost.

The differences between hybrids and light tanks are also quite easy, I can list those to so no one's confused. Again, I assumed there as well. My bad!

Braxis reminds me a bit of Toblerone.

The hib hybrids groupability should be better than the other realms thanks to group purge. Im not saying they will be good, just relatively better than the other realms hybrids in groups.

I agree, and I think GP will be a big help for nearsight too. I mean hibs could in theory run 3 druids and have 4 purges for each person (3 gruop 1 self).

Your avatar reminds me of a dick, but enough offtopic.

Since labels seem to confuze you all, how about we just call every other hybrid a unique tank and give them det acess and be done with it?
