Specifically the effect on the reaver.

I am new, coming from Lancelot a long time ago loved this game and I am excited to play again.

I am starting a reaver (finally liked a class!) but I have heard that there will be changes to Determination and the likes.

I will no longer be able to spec in DET, how is this possibly going to effect the reaver class in PvP?

Also, any other effects of 1.69 would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,
Catholocate

Well without determination, mezz and root will last more than 40 seconds on reaver and purge will be up very rarely, while it will still be 10 seconds for mercs. You can imagine which one groups will prefer to invite.
I am assuming direct control.

The way things are Reavers are rendered indeed rather useless. Hopefully the staff will acknowledge this and make some alterations to OF RAs. If not I'd strongly discourage rolling one.

what do you think are the chances of this being noticed on a server like this?

I am considering a merc but I don't like the main-tank focus. Will paladin also be effected by this? (Paladin not getting any DET either)

It's not just that you won't get into groups, it's the fact that unless you're in a decent group you'll just stand around CC'ed all day, since Purge is also useless as a reliable countermeasure now. In short: you won't have any fun.

Every hybrid is affected negatively by this change, but a Paladin would get more groups due to the end chant.

Hard to tell. I mean it's pretty obvious that it's flawed but the staff isn't really keen on making custom changes to RA sets.
I guess it's best to wait a few days. They said they were gonna release more details. When that might be I have no idea.

Reavers will also loose TWF and thier pretty strong rr5.
But you can buy it for 10-14 points and use it every 30 mins.
This sounds awful? Hes OF was.

Albion just loosed all tools to wipe a hib-bombtower out of a keep.
So better you avoid these encouters.

Well if savages got det on live, dunno why reavers and champs (melee hybrids) wouldent get it here...

If not, then (since the staff is refusing to let us class/race respec) I don't think I'll be staying too long here.

Wrong.

Savages are hybrids, both according to common sense, and to Mythic.

That page hardly applies to the context of this conversation. In it berserkers are labeled as, "damage machines"...guess that means mid doesn't have a light tank?

I explained why savages are not hybrid tanks, which is why they had det on live during OF, and stoicism during NF.

No, you didn't explain anything, at least not in a way that makes any sense. Berserkers aren't "labeled" as damage machines, that is a fluff description, The definition of a hybrid class is clearly presented in the link I quoted.

Please inform us then what are savages (according to you), I'm dying to find out.
