can anyone tell me why the patcher wont update to a newer version? i tried everything all it does it download a 53MB patch and thats it ... it just wont update to any other version but v1.62 i dont get any error messeges or anything... i downloded all the expansions also but it still stays at v1.62 and im getting ****** i really wanna play so if anyone could help i would really appreciate it :D

Because 1.62 is the version of the update program - and that IS the latest version possible. :wink: If you want to know which version of DaoC you have take a look at the readme.txt file in your install directory. You should see something like

Dark Age of Camelot
Version 1.83a Release Notes
Class Changes and Art Revamps
April 20, 2006

===================================

Or check the startup screen for a message like "v 1.83 loading ..."
