Hey guys... I'm new to Dark age, I played a few years ago as a Vampiir on the mythic servers. I'm looking for a little advice, I'd personally like to play Hib or Alb. I've read that some classes are incomplete on this server. I am mostly interested in a caster class.. I would really like to be able to solo PVE as well as being needed in groups for PVE and RVR. can anyone give me some tips on what class may best suit me? Thanks alot for your help!

For hib I would recommend a chanter or animist. For alb a cabalist or thuergist.

Also whats the best way to level just start grinding mobs? or should I try an run around to do all the quests?

hibs have the best quests for leveling implimented right now. up to level 10 is pretty quick there. by the way, is silvani an ultima reference or just random? ^^

Not really an ultima referance... I've allways liked the name Silvanis (undercity boss) from WoW. just kind of a play on the name from wow.

silvani was a long time developer for ultima online, and a really nice girl. really active in the community for a long time. was just wondering

Best lvling classes in both realms:

Alb: Cabalist
Hib: Animist

But you have to know that Animist is kinda still broken. It seems that many abilities arent working properly and the strongest RvR ability - the single and aoe bombers are not working (best single and aoe dd).

On the other hand, mentalists (mana for pvm, light for rvr), enchanter and theurgist are lvling fast too.

And that the best caba pet (disease proc) isn't implemented. Same goes for the best chanter pet (heat dd + heat debuff)

In grp rvr the lifetap pet can be annoying too, if it spams lifetap proc 5 times in 2 seconds.

Well I decided on enchanter. We'll see how it fares so far I'm having fun hope to hit 10 today and try and get a feel for the class

Disease one would do exactly the same with spamming disease AND it wouldn't break roots on others if it's rooted as well.
