I've been trying both paladin and friar and leveling them alongside.
both are lvl 16 now and doing good, but i;d like someone with higher level friar/pala to answer a few questions.

From what I gathered so far, friar is good in small rvr and great in 1v1 or solo pve
Paladin is great in solo pve, very useful in full group rvr, but I've never heard anything about solo rvr.

So has anybody ever tried solo RVR as a pala? is it doable? are they as hard to kill in RVR as they are in pve?
How do palas do VS other classes 1v1? What are the best/worst classes to fight against?

As for friars, knowing that they are pretty good in solo rvr, do they actually get a lot of solo in RVR or do you always have to team up with others?

what classes cause Friars the most problem?
which ones can you expect to totally pwn?

finally, the last question is how does overall DPS of a s/s speced pala compares to a staff speced friar, assuming that there are no other buffs other than self buffs involved. i.e. friar gets to use speed buff and pala gets to use his +dps buff.
who would hit harder in rvr and why?

While palas are pretty much a must have in any alb grp, friars will NEVER (well allmost) get a rvr grp.

If you want to solo: both are good duel classes. meaning you will win a good share of your 1on1 fights, maybe even some 1vs2, but ....

they are visible classes without speed so you will get ganked over and over again.

what about in terms of DPS? who would have higher DPS in PVE for example? Im thinking of what class would also be faster to level.

thanks for your quick reply btw

Pala Xping is like put healchant on, enter combat mode and go afk 1 minute for a mob. Chainpull possible without problems for red/purple mobs, but it takes long as Pala dont deal dmg.

Friar Xping is like put enduchant on and style the mob down. Give yourself 1 small heal and pull the next! Chainpull possible without problems for ora+ mobs.

In DPS the Friar is much better than the paladin and the friar should XP much better. But in RvR Groups Friars are very rare.

alright. thanks for the info!

actually last question:)

in terms of 1x1 rvr, who has a higher chance of surviving? e.g. you are walking somewhere and a bunch of stealthers gank on you
or if a ranger decides to face me in combat, would i have higher chance of beating him as a friar or a pala?

thanks again

Pala takes not much damage but deals not much aswell. And when you get diseased you are doomed, cause your healchant is kinda useless then ;)
Friar can bash enemies really quick in 1vs1 situations. Just have purge ready and nothing can happen if you play good ;)
