Hello,
I`m getting the "service not available" message when trying to log in to any DAOC freeshard.
I`m using Windows 7.
Everything is patched up (version 1.02).
Now, I read a bit about all this, and have tried every solution I saw people mentioned, but it dodn`t help.
If anyone else gone through this, I would appreciate any advice.

Do you have a firewall?

have you tried connecting without firewall active?

Nope, still doesn`t work (with the firewall off).
P.S.Also, I have set the DAOC portal and the daoc exe to run in compatibility mode with XP SP3, I ran DAOC portal as an administrator, I patched the client through the DAOC portal a couple of times.

This is the exact error message:

"Service not available.

The client could not connect to the server specified. Either it is not online, or you used a wrong ip/port. If these are not the reason, you may try to update your client to an EU version, as this error is also displayed if the client is not supported by the server.

Ping google.com: success"

And to make it more clear, I`m using the latest US version of the client (1.102. the number in my opening post is, obviously, wrong).
And another thing: I can`t connect to any of the DAOC portal freeshards, not only Uthgard.
I am aware that other people had this issue. Any other advices would be appreciated.

Have this problem with logging in and creating accounts. Says your account is banned. seems wierd tho i have just played doac like in the morning and now its banned hmmm.... havent done anything .... maybe something wrong with the login server ?

go to the ban list and see if you are on there.
