Maybe because they're not doing it well enough ? When you stop your character takes time to accelerate. If you don't stop moving you can run through a caster easily.

Stop giving ppl lessons , the problem here is that when they jump you get them not in view for 1-2 seconds, i ve never experienced this on live and ppl jumped with speed 5 also there. I play with a skald friend duo alot and i asked him to stop jumping because he gets not in view and spiralls my image rotating everything like i m in a tornado.

This server is not live and we all know it, jumping is alowed , yet the bug that apears is anoying and frustrating , i asked the Gm s to find a solution to the problem so when ppl jump nothing happends.

And yes..pasing trough a caster here seems to have no effect , on live a caster unbufed could not cast his spell if u run trough him back and forth ..here he cans..suky:P.

Yes, I know, and I said it's because of the recent change in melee swing no delay time thing whatever was changed to make it worse.

yes I am, and no, I normally don't stop when incing a caster that's trying to cast and then QC on me. I run through to the rear positional, and then to the sides.

EDIT: and imo, the best way to up your chances for a run through is to do it when speed is up. Anyone can get to run speed instantly, that knows how, but run speed isn't enough to consistently land the 'not in view' against casters. With speed 6 its much easier, since you can get far enough way to not trigger uthgard's custom rear arc code, but also do so fast enough that they caster can not turn during the facing process. However, if you are already in combat when this whole thing starts, simply getting up to run speed instantly and moving through caster isn't going to cut it. You need real speed.

if I don't have speed up, lately ive just been trying to land my stun before they get their cast off. seems to have more success, but only works once every 30 seconds on a given target.

Don't use stick it's THAT simple. Besides, it's kind of fair yeah because a mage that's just jumping around can't hurt you anyway.

And can't be killed. So if i change the target, he stops jumping around and cast on me.

Dude, you missed the topic.

It's nothing with Stick. Its like Force said, lagjumper appears with a lagghost which moves in the last direction but 1 second later, the ghost disapears and the real player is behind and not in view for you. Think of it, then post please.

Eh I've been accused of doing exactly that when I'm not lagging, just running through tanks when they /stick so they get the not in view message. I know what they're talking about. I very rarely encounter people who lag THAT bad that they'll warp all over the place. Maybe it's the people complaining that much who have bad internet so everyone else lags for them.

That lag ghost is another problem, happends when your target has lag and moves, hapened to me also, it sux but he s not abusing anything cause he s not doing it on purpose.

Those who jump do it on purpose cause they know u l get target not in view. Toblerone how can u be to tell me not to stick when i chase a caster? if he makes left or right all of a sudden i lost distance vs him, or 1 lag spike is enough for me to loose sight of him if i m not sticked and thats not good for me, stop giving ppl ****** advices and how some1 said above : Focus on the problem and understand thats its not working as it should .

Then run down to your basement laboratory and invent lagless internet because there is no other solution. For now you'll have to learn to live with it.

Well I didnt... the only time i remember ppl got banned for lagjump was the changelog macro exploit...

other ppl lagjumped for years, were reported with videos - and nothing did happen..

You can't base bans on what people write on the forums (unless its insults etc. etc. but that's a whole other topic. )
