After tests i found out that +spec from Equipment realyl affect Variances from Baseline. It does very high!

By the way, with darkness equip on, i had 5 resists in 10 casts. No resists without any +darkness skill. Used 50er baseline darkness DD.

atm the bolt code is very bugged

example I heard that dmg is based on dex instead of pie/int (not sure if this is true though)

on all the other issues: tbh not 100% sure so I would rather not answer

Skill bonus should work for any damage spell, base or spec.

Second: On which line focus works? Some People said Specline only, some said both. Have any idea, which is true?

Both afaik, not 100% sure though ^^

Third: Does Bonus (NPC Enchanter Bonus!) on Staffs affect Spells? Or Staff Quality?

I guess not, it should help only for meleeing :D

Fourth: Is it working as intended, that Confusion works against Animist Shrooms and Theurgist Elementars, but not Permanent Pets? Only effect is that when it ticks, Permanent Pets instantly changes the Target to what has casted Confusion on them. They never attack their Summoner (when its a 65% Chance with last Spell).

Sounds totally bugged. They should change target at every tick, with a % chance to attack an ally instead of an enemy depending of the spell level.

Fifth: Do we have the Bolt Miss Chance Fix here on Uthgard? Yesterday, i had a 1on1 against a Guildmate and 6 from 7 Bolts were missed. I know that Bolt Miss Chance is higher when Target is surrounded/attacked by People. Therefore one counts for +25% miss chance. Do you have any idea how could this happened?

Bolts are really bugged and worthless imo. They miss 3/4 of the time and even if you hit the damage seems low. Not to mention anyone with a shield will probably block it.

On live server,
Focus only affected mana costs for Baseline spells, thats why some casters were running around with shield/sword after DR expansion.

Enchanter bonus on staves only affect + to hit when you melee with staves.

Bolts most of the time will be missed if your target is in combat , i had fire wizz also and used the 2 fire and 1 earth bolt that could kill a caster. Also their dmg is v good on cloth,leather,studded armours , but beeing affected by abs will make crap dmg on higher armours.

A perfect example why tests with only 10 hits/casts are invalid. Itemskill has nothing to do with the spell resist chance.
Regarding bolts: I don't know.

i just wanted to note that. I didnt test resistrate, i tested variances with skill bonus. :D


Anyway, will Confusion work on permanent pets to give supp RM any chances against Petclasses? Or let see it other way: will Confusion work to give Petclasses a disadvantage?


@Bolts: i figured out that Dex/Quickness Buff enhances Bolt Damage what should not be.

Does the Staff want Proves for these Spell Types?
