I recently downloaded the freeshard, and it worked perfectly for a week or 2, but then it just randomly started to crash every 5 minutes once i had logged in on a character. I dont understand. Anyone help?

Im using windows 7 on a quite high spec laptop. Ive got AVG free and got rid of Norton as someone said that could have been the problem. I tried re-installing the whole game, but that didnt help either. Im confused.

did you accepeted the rules-window? or do you just klick it away?

Try to re-install your graphics driver. Most common problem.

The only thing that comes up is the email notification. I just ignore that. i just dont know why its stopped workin, cos it worked fine for a few weeks.

Nope reinstalling the driver done nothing. It still crashes. It does say i dont have the classic patch installed, but it wont let me install it. : /

A good thing to check is whether your graphics card is overheating.

Do you get a lot of graphics glitching beforehand or have other 3D games crash? Is anything blocking the vents on your laptop when you play so that heat cannot be exhausted?

Nope my graphics card seems fine. I could understand that if i had been playing it for a few hours and it overheated, but after literally 2 minutes? And when it crashes, its not just the game, my computer dies and i cant do anything. I dont understand why it was fine a few days ago
