Something rather funny happened tonight in DF.

I was just lookin around Hib side and saw a few low levels pulling some mobs. I was bored because there was nothing else around so I watched them for about ten mins while semi afk.

I come back and notice there caster was down and 3 mobs were kind of out of control. just two left and low on heath. I jumped in and killed the mobs before what I though was going to be a wipe.

So I helped them out, they cheered and gave some hugs. Then out of nowhere a high RR ranger comes out and ganks me. Me being level 48 didnt do much to him so that was that.

It was not a setup or trap or anything. I guess the ranger was watching them to see if anyone would gank them.

It was just funny to me and just because I died didnt make it any less funny.

cheers.

yea i dont like to be compassionate in DF. tonight i ran around watching a good 30 hib greys doing some xp in DF while it was closed for them. was tempted to kick them all out. about 25 minutes later it opened for hibs. the hibs rolled thru and grey kill spammed about 25-30 mid greys. moral of the story is let em die, those dirty hibbies deserve whats comin to em :P

a few quick reasons I can think of would be they are attacking you, rupting someone in your group, there is no inc of players that con, another realm owns DF and there are tons of greys. Kill all the greys they might try to bring someone to kill you. you don't want them pointing out where you are roaming.

raoming around alb side, looking for something yellow to attack, find one doing good damage - have two dozend greys stabbing me - die.

i got greyganked myself way over 500 times and even if you try to avoid doing it, it will end in your death.

so screw it.

Is seeing your RP counter going up really that funny?

The game is about RvR and killing ennemy people, not "making RPs". At least that's my point of view

It may not seem fair, but then RvR rarely is (stealther ganging caster, FGs killing solos, grey killing, grey adding, etc).

And I don't see how not killing your ennemy is respecting him, if anything it just means "hey I won't bother with you because you are too weak". So if you respect your ennemy, don't toy with him and just kill him.

when I am out leveling in DF, if I see a middie, or alb that cons grape to me, I make a point not to call them out to the rest of the hibbies. If they leave me alone, let me XP, I leave them alone and let them rvr :).

I was leveling in there last night with a Mentalist buddy... we had a Norse stealther standing behind us for awhile.

You can only really hope you aren't a tasty treat. I don't see much of a point for killing Greys... as ... you get nothing for it. Its simply a grief tactic.

The way I see it - I'll be more fun later on if you just let me level until you can actually get something from me.

Once i was watching some grey caster "trying" to pull his mob, but
constantly rupted him with throwing-knifes. he then faced me, doing
/no several times, so i totally destroyed him.

I just dont find it challenging to kill greys with one hit, prolly 95 % of the uthgard population finds it challenging though, why it happens so much here ^^
