This kind of statement demands further explanation.

Every bug gets fixed. Sooner or later.

I will use this post to ask something... why is everybody saying that ST is broken?
and also to ask, If this is the case, are you working to get this issue solved?

Hate to bring back old topics, but I am playing a champion now, and it was my intention to get ST , but only if it works properly...

Also... if you read all the champion discussions on this forum , you dont want to play a champion... I mean c'mon everyone is saying that champion sucks eheheheh

But it happens that when you check the Herald, you can see a lot of high RR champs, so.... how is the deal here are these guys very good at playing champions? or champions do work in rvr.... or maybe they are palying since the server started ahahah

for My knowledge at least 3 of them are older then 3 year and play with a very strong guild and people that support them a lot and even a different approach on rvr by hibernian people that changed in these last years.

You should check this page on herald and compare with this
don´t let yourself fool from Old RA´s and people
who say they will be good for the server.
they are NO solution..
SAY NO TO OLD RA´s!!
SAY NO TO 1.69!!
do NOT support that obviously wrong way in any way!! (source Musikus)

I enjoyed having a 50valor/50LW champ assisting me with debuffs, woc,dd.
champ DOES work in rvr groups, if your group/guild supports you. you wont find many PUGs tho.

did not read all the thread, but:

my husband and i used to run bard/champ duo on live servers many years ago. beginning at si-times till shortly after toa came out (then he switched to eld, he wanted something new :P ).
and i think, we were pretty good. was an awesome team. with old ra and new ra.
dont know why nobody likes champs here =(
LW-champ + bard = <3
at least it was for us

Surely Champ works great in duo/smallman.

WoC+RR5 can help to drop even a heavy armored target quickly, ST and insta-snare might be useful to help your bard/supporter get rid of melee adds, etc... these abilities are timed, though, combined with the sub-par damage of LW (compared to BM for example) is what make BMs more requested in 8man groups -- there you just need a constant over time high DPS output, for which BM performs better.

Uthgard 1.0: <Die Lettanten> Ivia - 8L8 Nightshade - Lone Enforcer since 8L1.
Uthgard 2.0: <Illuminated Stormriders> Oxy - Hero; Ivia - Nightshade.

I dont think a Champ is gimped at all. I think they are an AWESOME solo classes, and a very good class in a duo or trio set up. They may not have the dps of a VW, or the stoicism/det/def of a hero, or the combination of all of the BM, but he does have good dmg abs, good mele dmg, and he has some great ranged interupts, snares, and debuffs. Those come in handy when used properly. The only problem with champ's that I see is that in 8 man RvR, in perfect set ups, there lack of not being great at anything and not having stoicism make them low on the list for getting in good groups. Also, much like any tank, you cant be solo RA spec and group RA spec until you get up in the 8L+ range. You have to pick one or the other. If you are a solo spec Champ then your prolly not going to have much determination.

hmm , i can be totaly wrong :gaga: , and i know a champ can have some trouble to use his full potential on low rr. :wall:
But as i see him he's more a rupting keyfactor  against casterbased enemys and he can even be crucial against melee groups focusing on enemy support rupting , snare ,debuffing D/Q etcetc. oO
Its not only who can dump highest dps in full charge and shortest time who wins the fight , personaly i've seen champs toying with multiple targets fecking it all up where it should have gone easy, resulting in a good win for hib group. :D
So i think u can't say he's not realy suited for group rvr , not even when he's ST is bugged  or the LW dps is bugged  or anything.
He shouldn't be the one who kills on sight , but the one who gives support , ranged a hardtime to perform.

If you wanna mess up the enemys support or sasters while staying on range, take an eld. If you wanna kill stuff, take a BM or Ench. The debuffs are nice, but you can have them with an eld aswell. So theres rly no reason to pick a champ for this kind of stuff.

There is no reason to NOT take a Champ.

Bloddangels run with one.
Hexagone run with one.
Look at the Heraldpage, not every Champ gathered those RPs from soloing..

(Btw: Best Soloclas sin Hib imo)

Some grps even like to run with 3bms 1champ sometimes because of the incredible damage
of a high rr champ, yes, champ can be really great in grp.
(especially when no bm has shieldspec once again:roll:  )
