Is this game and the downloads necessary to play compatible with the Mac? I've been following the tutorials on how to download and believe that the issue I'm running into is that I'm on a Mac but I figured I'd ask just to be certain.

Yes, that seems to be the problem.

DAoC is a windows game. It runs on Linux with WINE emulating windows functions, so it might run on a Mac with Parallels, though I have no confimation for that.

If you have a newer Mac with intel hardware, you could use Bootcamp and install Windows on a second partition to play some games :)

Aye, seems like a lot of work to play a game. I'll do some reading around and see what I can do. Thank you very much for the confirmation.

You could buy VirtualPC or VMware for Mac and install Windows to play DAoC. As far as I know DAoC is not compatible to Mac OS.

This is correct my uncle uses the Mac and they have improved the VM version and sometime soon they will have an upgrade version.

Anyone know if the new MacBook Pro can run Dark Age? My girlfriend's comp broke and she's looking to get one but wants to play...

Any tips? (seeing as this thread was started a couple of years ago ^^)

I am running DAoC on a MacBook Pro. It runs very smooth on my BootCamp Windows 7 partition.

If you have enough free disc space i would install Windows via BootCamp. It is quite easy.

guys - we have a little problem in that she is running Windows on the MacBook, it works really well, DaoC is perfectly running and smooth but...

She can't right click :o which means she can't go through a lot of doors lol.

How did people get around this?

Thanks!
