Well we usually fight fg hibs on albland, there is more zones than emain, and odin and jamt and...map are huge use it

unfortunately toblerone is right. the number of hib player that make rvr usually is very low now, and getting lower for many reasons like:

  • missing on hib side some strong gank.
  • some class aren't implemented in a way that improve the experience of people and the help on rvr. (but never change for 1.80+ policy)
  • some player that reach 50 don't want to learn how to play
  • close mind player that don't want teach or accept in their group other people that aren't so good player
  • don't add mind that hib is full inside the most part of rvr people (mean if you add than next time i'll not group you if you need a slot for rvr)


Too many flaw on our realm but some of them are from players... but others from settings of shard.

Please staff if you can, change almost the settings that don't help hib to get easy rvr group. To chage the mind of people it's impossible for every body.

All that points happen on alb too, we have now only 2 fg on emain, some of us are patrolling frontier but many pve on all realms...

Lets just say its true that hib is underpowered.
When we assume this it just makes all the other points alot stronger...
Like you would never invite what you would consider a 'bad' class, like alot of ppl would say wardens/vws/champs are, since these classes would make your group weaker and being the alrdy weak realm this would just mean you would get farmed
Same goes for inviting less skilled ppl. If you do this you will just get farmed and these 'learning ppl' will not learn alot from constant wiping and will give up pretty fast.
This is what you can call an evil circle. Its not like mids/albs dont have 'bad' classes they just dont suffer as much since the overall classbalance is somewhat better there.

my whole point is that if hib got balanced so there would be room for mistakes/'bad' classes alot of hib FGs would pop up since you dont have to have RRs/skills/perfect setup/numbers to actually put up a fight and have some fun.

The solution too all this is not so easy tho, since to boost hibernia you would either have to (a) go do something custom or (b) choose another patch to stick to
(a) will never happen since thats against what the staff wants
and (b) would properly just make another realm underpowered which would make it all status quo.

As i remember it back on live they would pretty much switched what was overpowered ( creating the phrase fotm (favorite of the month)) which somehow balanced the unbalancing :roll: , but this will never happen here since we are stuck on one patch which by the looks of it screwed hib...

but as i said this is all assuming that hib is underpowered ...

Well duno how hibs had numbers for 2fg to atack mjolner Thursday night at 1 GMT in the night.

Albs had like 4fg+ after that hour..i wonder how many r fro mUSA that can stay ..because we from Eu got a job etc..:P.

grouping a valewalker with champs and wardens in term of power is a really bad joke^^ the only weakness they have in commons is no stoism.

warden at least brings resis, bubble and backup heals. if you watch the mid/alb rvr movies, they barely ever have to break a PBT these days and dont have to work against high resists.


champ is useless, granted.

vale has some pretty decent meele and range damage, root, rupt and long back/side stuns.

not inviteing chars because they dont have stoism and "are always CCed"...
but you do invite elds and enches. hypocrite.


the biggest problem hibs have to fight with imo is the lack of CC on top of the ridiculous 2h damage. either you run 4 bms or you just dont have any.


200-300 as the main 2h meele frontload damage dealer on targets that run around with mostly 1.6k+ hp... that puny damage doesnt even deseve the descirption frontload^^
an unhealed, fully buffed mage can take me 8 to 12 hits^^ depending on if he has bubble, i miss, out of range, cant see, strafe by mistake and dont land the hit etc.


a hero AT used to be devastating. the only reason we could ever fight with mids eye to eye since hib groups lack CC. we cant afford a druid that cant either heal or buff just so he has a decent root.
ae stun? desease? snare? take a regular hib vs a regular mid group and just compare the CC capabilites.

we got a mezz. and a castable single target root on the guy that spends his time running for his life or spamming heals.

maybe a hybrid group with a LIGHT eld. oh wait, thats another MEZZ.
gotta be lucky if its a mana eld with desease high enough that i wont get resisted permanently.

CC wise hib is just far far back in the listing. only got third place on the podest because there are only 3 realms.

it was somewhat ok with our skull splitting 2h heros. even compared to bersi/savage/runi setups we could still do some damage.

atm you cant kill 1 single mage if they arent all mezzed or screw up badly. they still have at least 2 heals free while your whole at runs down the mage. or you go for the healer/shamy. they just throw an (instant) pb/aoe stun/desease and give it a perma sprint till you stop chaseing them. still have another healer free though and the at and runi shreed your group in the meantime.

and if you split the at, well. no matter which targets you choose, you still cant bring em down.

and if the bard gets taken out early its pretty much game over anyway.
we may live for a while, but we run without basebuffs (since we have no wardens) and no endu (aside from jugging pots) AND our main CC is also gone. and the speed to kite/chase.

on live we could at least kill some one them, even if they where stronger then us.
usually we could kill 1-2 to weaken the enemy and then could worry about the CC issue and prolong the fight.

he most fights end without a single loss on the enemies side.
its for the hardcore rvr junkie number crunchers to figure out why.

as for me, we have no damage to end a fight quickly and no CC to stall in a fight that takes longer then 15-30 seconds. thats when the mezz starts to run out.

yeah its a very whiny post, granted. thats just how rvr looks like from my perspective. absolutly pointless.

very good post..hibs really do lack cc immensely...all that current hib groups really run for rupts are bard, eld, and maybe one offensive druid. The best groups always go for the bard because thats literally 60% of a hib grps rupts and will prevent the WHOLE group from having end for the fight. An offensive druid is an absolute joke for disrupts. pac healer/shammy/runi are MUCH better rupters from experience. sorc/theurg/cab/minst are also better rupters than bard/eld/druid. In addition these groups have much more dps than hib groups (on this server).

It just kind of sucks that hibs only real source of dps are bms, which are the worst of the light tanks in dmg. You can group chanter/ment/eld of course but we all know casters are a joke here so although hib caster hybrid groups can succeed they require much more coordination than the average mid group, yet still have on the whole less rupts and less dmg.

It's kind of sad in the past 4 months I have seen nearly 10+ guild groups try to roll Hibernia and now none of them have stayed. Anguish came but somehow had "problems" leveling everyone to 50. But from what I hear some of them have rolled alb and seem to be doing better but I'm not entirely too sure about that.

My main char is a mid , but i think you are right..
Its realy not good to have one Realm that is overpowered und one that could have no chance.

I think NF would help HIBS more then any other think.
They could defent Keep and Towers and NO realm is better in this...
In the Battelfield (I think) they are not as good as the mids or albs...

Heho,

Yesterday i met a 3 fgs Hib Zerg in Emain, but they didn´t stay so long.
About Hib Setup, Hib is the Casterrealm, so maybe try to run with casters. and don´t tell us that caster are a joke or something like that, we run yesterday with 3 Caster and at thuessay we run with with 4 Runis, 1 Thane, 1 Shaman and 2 Healer and we did 30k RPs in 2 or 3 hours.
