i just started playing on Uthgard and been having a blast. My questions are 1.When combat and main text scroll threw it seems that every lil text seems to make my game slightly "jerky" anyone know how to fix it? 2. When i enter the game the 1st msg's i reciev s the normal thing but i also get a msg that say you dont have the classic patch installed. but its in my mod manager and checked& patched.Any Suguestions on how to fix this????

0. better threadtitle would have been: text-performance and classicpatch issue or smth like that
1. use an UI with a bitmap- instead of a ttf- font. that also means that you cannot change fontsize anymore ingame.
2. patch again, maybe move classicpatch to priority one. be sure that you clicked the checkbox in the list, too.

EDIT: NM i figured out the priortizing thing

there is also a thread about custom UI's from nixian somewhere sticky in the forums.

ok moved the classic patch.dmm to priority1# and still says "You have not downloaded classic patch.dmm" Ingame when i log in

run daocportal as administrator(vista/win7), let it patch, go to modmanager, select classic patch so that youll have a cross in the little square left from the classic patch itself, and push "patch". Its gonna last some time depending on your PC performance, but a small bar should apear, filling up to 100% with a green line. Wait for it to finish, then close the modmanager and play.

my guess is, that you didnt install it correctly.

finaly got the classic patch to work thanks for the help
