I read another thread from a few months back which discussed this issue, but there was nothing really resolved. I'm running win7 x64, using DAoC 1.101 patched to EU with DAoC Portal. The classic .dhm file is in the proper place.
Anyone figure out how to get around this? |

Has nothing to do with DAOC. Reseach, and ye shall have the answer:

I've been running everything as an administrator. I tried moving the game directory around to no avail. The odd thing is I logged on, made a Runemaster and got him to level 2, then decided I needed to pick-up a custom UI so I grabbed EggiSohwyn UI and put everything in place. Since then I have been getting the game.dll error.
I uninstalled everything and I am starting from scratch using Nixian's Guide to getting started which I located a few hours ago. Hopefully everything runs smoothly this time through. I had no idea that DAoC was still being patched! 1.101... I assume class changes introduced do not exist on Uthgard. I also assume the best char builder I can use for Uthgard is DAoC Catacomb's Character Builder 2? I'll report back to the thread either later tonight or tomorrow. Don't worry, I'm not rolling Alb... so it's okay to help if you have an insider tip. ![]() |

I've narrowed the issue down to the UI. When I set my skin to Atlantis it works fine, but Custom leads to game.dll error. Anyone know of a work around? Maybe this particular UI (EggiSohwyn 1.98 ) doesn't work with Uthgard? I'll try some others later.

A follow-up on my situation so others who encounter it can get passed the problem.
For me it was the EggiSohwyn UI that Win7 did not like. I've installed Ghost UI, the one I used to use on live long ago, and the issue has been resolved. All is well, I'll see you from the eyes of a Hib. ![]() |

Update (so others who come to this post looking for answers get them!):
I've installed EggiSohywn UI without a hitch. There must have been a registry error I getting when I tried the first time. If you install a new UI and you get the game.dll error try restarting your computer, running CCleaner, etc. |
