No 3 reasons;

1. 2h damage is gimp on uthgard.
2. You don't have celerity here which gimps you even more.
3. High endurance cost on styles combined with endurance leeching chants. Sprinting + twisting chants + hitting someone, I guess you'd do 3 maybe 4 styles before running ooe. I'm always ooe with long wind 2 using thrust styles which have next to no endurance cost, can only imagine how terrible it would be with 2h.

True pole and 2 hand damage are not how it should be on uth atm

shield pros:

- block rate on Uth is a lot better then live
- hammer 1h style Bludgeon, is the cheapest endurance cost style ever, imba style for pve
- Ametist slash is one of the best anytime -the best imo- in the game (you might wanna respec slash after 48 so u get at)
- shield > 2h in PvE
- with 1hand you have less miss rate then 2h (useful with red-purple mobs, but also with yellow and orange)
- more welcomed in parties (a paladin is always welcome anyway)
- slam owns (you need lvl 42 though)

2h pros:
- no pro in PvE (unless there is another tank and the party need dps)
- more dps but especially at higher levels
- very nice back and sidechains, especially the second style that stun (you get those stuns at level 44 and 50, and the back style is level 39 :D)

go crush / shield for Pve :)

You should also mention the follow up of this style, Contusions -> 6sec stun. ;)

If two handed dmg is nerfed it probably isn't worth it but I had fun with a 2hand hammer spec. Use 1handed for stun then switch to two hander for positional. For PvE shield spec is better for sure though.

Therefore i've got another question. Is speccing 2h worth it for leveling up?

Speccing full chants, shield until guard1(later guard2) and mixing up the other points with crush/2h?

The idea behind is beeing a bit more flexible when lvling solo.

if you go full chants, you should not need to xp solo. and if you are grped, shield is allways better than 2h..
if you go 2h you need: 1. chants, 2. 2h, 3. weapontype 4. parry shield: needs 1.chants 2. shield 3. weapon. so more pts to dump in 3 lines.
2h isnt worth it a bit.
