Hello,

I once connected to uthgard like 7 months ago (It was in august), and I created a character[Again] I played with a little bit (Don't remember his level).
Today I wanted to play again with it, but I saw it has been deleted by some obscure forces.

This starts to be really boring, as it already happened to me in august. Why do the server deletes character when they're inactive ? If they are, they take only a fixed size in the db, and a character entry is not that large, is it ?

So, I'm asking you if it's possible or not to get my character back ?
I won't do a 3rd character from the scratch.

Chars will never get deleted IF the account it is on has a character with any of the things below:

over level 10
have any craftingskill

if none has this the account will be deleted after some time

unfortunately the staff won't do any player restoration if it got deleted because of not having a char over level 10 or a character with any crafting skill

Well, it may have been under level 10 then, but :
- I can tell you my character was level 11, you would have to check if it was ; and from there, restoration would be done easily I think.
- It's the 3rd time it happens for me, and that starts to be seriously annoying
- It's like you're saying "Go away" to player who left early

- if it was deleted it was not over level 10
- I can understand that
- it is done to keep the database somewhat self restoring, if there was no delete things it would get filled and names would be taken.. this is the simplest way to keep it somewhat restricted..

also it deletes after 3 months of inactivity I believe.. if you don't play a toon in 3 months and your highest toon is below level 10, I think it is safe to say in 99% of the cases that the player did not plan to play on the server

Okay, I see your point.
But seeing how players in DAoC are going away, I'd suggest your team to at least keep the ones who'd like to play.
I'll just leave if you do not do anything (But I dunno if you care)

if you had a low level character and it was deleted in the auto deletion I really suggest you just create a new character - you will get back to level 10+ before you will get your toon back anyway..

Sorry if you are so upset for loosing a lvl 1-10 toon, but it is really a lot of work to restore a character - esp. if it was a lowlevel one.. even renaming won't happen on lowlevel characters.. and that is a lot easier than restoring a character..

I do not plan on playing very much, and in August I played maybe over an entire week ; and if the character was not even level 10 in that little time, that don't really makes me want to create a 4th one.
Low-leveling is really boring, and I think it's because of this I always left. Add that to the fact I won't play very much, I just do not want to create a new character once again.

(About my english, I'm actually French, so sorry if it is bad sometimes)

Ok let me explain the conditions under which accounts will be removed:

- After 3 months of inactivity when there is no char above level 7 and no char has crafting skills
- After 6 months of inactivity when there is no char above level 10 and no char has crafting skills

Inactivity means: not logged into the account for some time. So when you log into your account every 2.5 months your chars are safe, even on level 1.
It's done when it's done. Thanks for your patience.

Just to confirm it by rules:

§3.4 If a character has been deleted, we will not restore the character. To delete a character you have to confirm your command by typing “yes”. You know what you are doing and there will be no restoration.

Well, good bye then.

Thanks anyway.

@Lintu : I didn't delete the character. It got deleted.
I like the rules too :
There is no legal claim on restoring lost characters, items or other data. You may ask for restoration, however it is the staff’s decision whether we restore anything or not.

@Satz : I think it was named "Tiftof"

It takes like what 5-7 hours to get lvl 10? Just make that lil effort, our Lord know you have a lot more to do before you hit 50, and you'll have your character forever.
