Well i cant name a single regular rvr active decent ench while i can name at least 5 bms :)

Thats because this is a tank server. And cause enchanter snare pets etc arent working properly.

Celtic Dual, Charge, Slam, Stoicism + Determination, Triple wield etc are great tools and easier to play effectively in a group and solo than an ench.

Enchanter are easier to level solo/duo/trio and are fun in good debuff assist casters groups (rarely happens and still hard (but fun) vs tank groups with less teamplay)

BM or Druid is a safer choice overall for random pugs.

If you wanna play Hib you need 4 solid base classes. These are Druid Bard BM and Eld.

All others are fluff or only viable in a specific setup besides perhaps a def hero.

ok so I've narrowed it down (somewhat) to the following:

Mid - Skald, Bonedancer
Alb - Theurg
Hib - BM, Hero, Animist

I'm leaning towards hib, but still don't know. Is it true bonedancer pets are messed up? Can somebody explain that?

no pets apart from commander in game, and he is green at 50 with no special attacks...

basically you spam lifetap and nuke in between :D

If you're leaning towards Hib and wanna go for RvR, dont roll an Animist, at least not as your main toon. I'd say go for BM or Hero instead. Then again, if you wanna have daily RvR, I wouldn't suggest you to join Hib at all if your frustration tolerance isn't huge...

To be quite honest, a general Hib PuG is worth close to nothing compared to the usual Mid PuGs. Alb PuGs are also quite poor. Almost the only Alb PuG that's doing OK is the Jump grp which has more to do with RR than realm performance.

That's why there's so little interest in both Hib and Alb PuGs, they're just too hard to get right, especially with the usual lack of skill within them.

well, let's say that I went mid, would there still be action in RvR? If mid is overpowered I don't wanna roam around looking for action and find nothing... are there regular zerg fights?

Of course there will be in general more Mids than Albs or Hibs in RvR, but this is something that'll never change until some balance issues have been tackled. A lot of groups, for example, started in Hib with the goal to do some RvR and afaik none of them remained 'till today. I can't speak for each of those quitting groups and don't know the reasons for their departure or RvR-unwillingness, but it's indicative that you see almost no fixed groups in Hib while there are some in Mid and one or two in Alb. You could also question the fact why so called gank groups from Midgard like Anguish fail to switch to Albion or Hibernia. If everything's balanced out, they shouldn't have troubles starting in a new realm, should they?

Nuff said about Uthgards balance for now, going to twink my next alt on Albion, hoping for some changes in the future.

Well besides earth pets who miss 50% of the time, ice pets who's nukes get resisted 50% of the time unless they go into melee rage which is even better, bugged range check on ice pet nukes, no possibility to kill your own pets in case you send one by accident on a wrong target, pbt eats power like mad and the rr5 ability doesn't work at all, everything is fine.
