How does one use the Distraction skill? i cnt seem to get it to do anything

Normally it's like throwing a little rock in particular direction, and making mob turning face to this direction. Permit to you, or to pass safely, or putting a backstab.
Not implemented yet. |

I remember it to be quite useless on live

hmm, well i suppose it might have some use though it only works on mobs, whcih sucks, it might be useful if it worked on players, perhapse flashed an image of you briefly in a particular area, making them think you were there, then i would deffinately have a use for it

I remember at eu beta-test, the first time i saw it used. We were on Muire's tomb wis a nightshade, and he was scouting down the dungeon, telling us how many mobs was after the corner.
That's also the last time i saw someone used it. Now everyone get PLed. @Korath : sounds interresting but not a live feature, and Uthgard pretend to be close as live. To be honest, stealthers are actually enough efficient without needing such feature. Also, stealther must not say they are here, and such ability would simply indicate their presence, what is not supposed to be. Sincerly, Pirith. |

I remember it to be quite buggy also
![]() ![]() But still, even in classic times Distraction was unused. |

On live server it works properly and is in some cases useful. For example
at ML2 to get into Runihuras temple without Snake aggro. To pull Snake aggro into Runihuras temple causes Runihura to attack instantly which always leads into a full wipe. Works the following way on live: Set groundtarget in front of mob and direction which you want it to look -> distract and you get around 5-10sec of non-aggro. Greets Sethor Characters:
Midgard: Nothing atm Albion: Nothing atm Hibernia: suxx ^^ |
