The bonus appears to be working, at least at first glance, but 2hand classes are definitely at a major disadvantage damage-wise compared to dual wield/LA.

I think zip posted about something, that 2h dmg was off by a little and it should be increased a little, which included bow dmg too. Unless that was alrdy done, i cant remember.
And yes PD is a pain for those that have to deal with it, but if you compare PD vs assasin, you have to consider the assasins extra evade from evade 7, compared to evade 3. Plus the effects of viper is useful to counter high PD because those with high PD , prob dont have too much AoM. |

i think evade 7 is because they wear leather, not their lack of PD.

Yes, and why do they wear leather? High damage class! High growth rate styles and poisons ! (str/con debuff hurts like hell. I got 1415 hitpoints with str/con charge and the highest debuff "steals" 425 hitpoints. |

I have only met one inf that does this, ofc he did it only with his mainhand since he doesn't swing both weapons each round. On other shards it is easier to do since you can macro switching from inventory. |

I used to do it on my SB on live when NF first came out. Trick is to template envenom (a lot of people swap items to poison so when they actually hit with their weapons they have 34+5 instead of +16 for example) so that you don't have any variance, the DoTs will tick for 125+ IIRC. Do that to both hands each round and youve got basically AOG3 passive. The switching from pack is annoying, but well worth it ![]() |

How much time u got to change your GT use volley shot,change gt use voley shot etc? I do got hit also by tzaa and i was runing with sprint and the way arrows hited me was like in the same timer for a normal volley hit with no GT changing. We dont know how volley used to work 100% so archers exploit at maximum this freak volley ability we got here on uthgard, dealing normal dmg at 1s speed and changing GT while the shot is prepairing? i mean shouldnt be a 1s -2s for changing GT then 1s release? How many seconds it takes to fire a full volley with 6 shots? how many seconds it takes to fire a 6 shots voley changing gt for each shot? @ noir Like Runis said, augm str wount help you much , slash dmg vs a PD ranger is a pain, i did same dmg as ronia when i was slash spec and now with crush i hit with 30 dmg better like 120(-80) or so instead of 100(-100) . 6 secs including changing gt, depends on finger speed and smartness.... by the way saosin and notchen where bow rangers for a long time, no (fotm)-changers, but saw ronia last time with a bow in its tiny fingers wondering whats going on...

That means .. when u change GT , u dont loose more time? no seconds added ? u r changing GT while your shot is prepairing? from what i ve read on live: u can stop, pivot ,change gt then continue volley ,but that should add some seconds is it not? Btw, all the archers abuse of the wrongly implemented Volley ability in this server , and no1 cares, if OF will come with patch 1.6+ i m glad that volley will be gimped , cause what we have now is something customized. |

im pretty crappy with moving gt around during volley.
that being said, if i dont spam the fire button during voley it aborts. i dont know how you can "pause" during a volley without aborting the process, but you can move the gt around while fireing your volley. as far as meele rangers are concerned, 200 mainhand damage is pretty far fatched, even as shar blade ranger. thats more like BM damage. i used to be pure meele and the best damage on a sced enemy in the best condition was 130 mainhand+25 dmg add. now as hybrid i go for somewhere between 80 and 100 mainhand. as a general hint, i read over and over again references to PD5, mo5, purge 3, thoughness4, ip2 or even 3, as every ranger would have these RAs by default on these high levels. you dont seem to realize just how much these abilities cost and that you cant max one/two ras without sacrificing others. i mean, ip2, purge2, pd3 and mos3 is already RR6^^ i just love these stories which say that rangers are overpower and reciting something like: he sees me far earlier then i see hi with mos5 and when im finally in meele i dont do any damage on him because he has pd5 and even with add he just fires ip, and stunn doesnt help because he just purges. sound like any other anti ranger post, doesnt it? well, that ranger has to be RR10^^ the average RR on our current rangers is rr5 ish. my R5L5 goal for now is mos3, pd3, thoughness2, ip2, purge1. the so often called PD5 whould only allow ip1 and mos2^^ i prefer a medium improvement in overall performance more then as 1 big advantages. especially considerig that PD5 is nice and all, but it only takes 1 attack with str/con debuff and viper 3 to killl a ranger that ONLY has pd5 since he will most likely not have enough HP to survive the dot. i mean, even as a unbuffed hero that has alot more con/hp, a pa with s/c debuff and viper just leave me with 7% hp left. so i would propose you dont go over the top about fighting a rr4L4(pd5 and nothing else) and give him various RAs maxed out^^ |

a OT questsion here.
is volley here somehow OP`d or bugged ? cuz every archerclass is using it, never saw anyone on live over the years using it. |
