Hi all,

I'm trying to figure out what could be the best rvr spec for a cabalist.
I'm hoping to run in full groups as well as little groups.

I'm looking for a good spec that would allow me to have good cc and fine ns, and also a fine deal

I was first going for a tri spec caby:
34 body
25 matter
33 spirit

Then I asked myself is 33 spirit realy worth it? is the -30% body debuff realy worth spending that many point in this spec? Or do the pet buffs bring something else...
Plz help me

So the other option would be:
46 body
25 matter
13 spirit

Would the deal be better, would the group realy suffer from the loss of the body debuff?

If you have other specs in mind, go ahead. I'm basing all this on the character builder 1.5, and I don't even know if the spells match with uthgard's ones.

I'd like your opinion!
thanks :)

The one and only spec you should go as a cabalist.

because you have ns which is very strong here, and the debuff nuke makes you the stronger nuker on albion :D

Trispec is the only way to go for RvR.

There is never an "only way to go" for anything in daoc.

Pick a spec u feel most "@ home" in and give it a go.

Well sure, but if you don't go trispec you lose on utlity. The only problem with trispec is that your spells will get resisted often untill you invest some points in mof.

with a 2 spec cabalist, do I really lose a lot a deal? Because I have a better drain, but no debuff, what is the difference between the level 45 body spec drain and base line drain?

I was wondering because on this serveur with low dex, and low mana, casting a debuff everytime seems like a waste of time and mana when I could be casting a direct drain.

I agree that in a caster group, and in an assist with sorcs, the debuff is really interesting, but it won't happen often, and even so, i'll spend a lot of time with ns and CCs... so what do you think?

Why do I lose utility if I don't go tri spec, the only thing I miss is the debuff...?

well the spec LT does the same dmg as baseline LT, has the same cast time, costs less power (like 4 points) and drains for 90% instead of 60%.

depends on classes, you can give it a go to a 50 spirit cabalist if you wish to, but if you wanan go for the best spec, there is only 1 way to go for a cabby: 3 spec.

one of the most powerful class in the game

The debuff is so obscenely good. Sorc should always be in /assist cab mode when he isnt actively CCing. 2 people lifetapping against pretty much abysmal resists = fast deaths. Tell you what, spec to 33 spirit and go dual with a cleric who can give itself body resists. Then tap him. Then debuff and tap him and catch your jaw before it hits your desk.

I would prefer tri spec, although 46 Spirit is also possible.

Body Cabalist is awful.
