Paladin chant is not stackable?

As I remeber pre SI, Paladin's chant is always stackable
1. Damage chant with Theur and Wiz's Damage add 2. Shield chant with spec AF buff. What's the wrong with chant concept? Nonorin 50lv Friar ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some additional explanation, Pala's chant is always stackable but applied higher value compare than elementalist's damage buff and cleric&friar's spec af buff. Damage adds (apart from AoG) do not seem to stack on Uthgard... not sure why.
The AF should stack, but again does not on uthgard |

going from memory here, but I can't remember if the DAs stacked, I think they did but the weaker one was cut in half?
I remember for a fact that the pally chant did not stack with cleric spec AF. The pally self castable shield buff is what stacks with cleric buffs. And I do remember the tri-resists stacking with the individual resists, but there is a hard cap on primary resists for this IIRC and I think its 55. |

Corect, theurg was 10 dps and stacke with pala, yet pala was 50% utility from that 7 dps or how much it is beeing lower. Paladin chant AF never stacked with cleric spec af , you either buff all ppl spec AF and pala doesnt use AF cause he will get it off, or u just go with the pala chant AF and save conc on cleric. PS- played alb for 5 years ![]() |

Buffing everyone with spec AF is impossible with a normal setup, how did that get by you for 5 years ? :p |

Gratz on saving him, bet he wouldn't have thought of that reply by himself and thinks clerics have infinite conc ![]() ![]() Regarding paladins, don't play one on uthgard if you plan on rvring. It's extremely hard and the fact that 2h spec is completely useless and you don't have celerity/instarez/30s rupt only narrows you down to an endu/guard totem. Paladins may not have great offense here, but they are a great class in 8v8, and every group needs to run one. With MOB and Guard they can negate 1 target from taking a lot of melee dmg, especially against the always hated savage class which has terrible block penetration.
I can post screen shots of a paladin absorbing 7 attack rounds in a row with guard/intercept. One of those rounds might have gone to bladeturn as well, but the pally was mitigating a lot of damage. And of course simply trying to kill the pally first is almost impossible. The end regen is must have too, though pallies got the short end with that in OF, not sure what their range is here. |

No paladins are not a great class in RvR any way you look at it. They're a must have because of endu regen, that's it. And killing the paladin is very much possible, all it takes is 1 slam and 2 zerkers and the paladin gets ripped apart like a rag doll.

so /all/ you have to do to kill a paladin is have a warrior and two vendoed zerkers on them, and hope that they die before they unstun.
ya that's cake. and of course youre severely reducing your DPS by attacking the highest AF target in the game with the best ABS too. Not to mention that the warrior has to abandon support/casters in order to get slam off. Most of the time you slam the paladin just to get guard to drop and hope you can kill the squishy before the stun ends, because beating on plate + spec AF + 2nd spec AF is nonsensical. |

None of that matters when the paladin dies in 6 seconds.
