This happened twice yesterday that I noticed...

What you are looking for here is "ploangel hits your torso....for 15 damage....ploangel critical hits you for an additional 10"

Crits are supposed to have a range (for everyone except vendo zerker) of 10%-50% of the original damage. 10/15 = 66% crit

happened again (hit for 37 crit for 26), but that was a deathblow hit, so I don't know if that would cause it to bug, I can post that SS as well if needed.

I know it might seem obvious but..

desired behavior? proof of that behavior? how to reproduce the bug?

looks like your melee is absorbing the damage.

Your melee buffer absorbs 25 damage..

15+25 = 40, which would allow the 10crit.

maybe that is whats causing it to look like a bug?

:)

Still its not a corect display, if u get hit for 100 dmg and a melee health bufer enters you should not see 50 dmg and 50 absorbed by ablative. You should see 100 dmg and 50 was abosrbed by ablative. Maybe u ll change that also.

up 50% crit only ?

I remember cleary that i was hitting for 800+700crit in live with my 2h savage. So from that i can say you proposal is false.

But if u find some patch notes l8er than 1.65 that confirms that crits is only up to 50% i will take my words back

Yes in PvE it's possible. In RvR critical hit damage is max 50% of the initial hit, only thing that could crit for up to 100% were bolts until 1.78 where they were capped to 50% too.

this clearly confuse me Cross.

doing crits above value of 50% for non vendo mode. This would be the first I´ve ever heard.

Description of Vendo Mode says: increases crit cap dmg from 50% to 100%.

But this only counts for PvP versus Mobs every class can do up to 100% crits

Midgard players don´t just simply play Daoc - we play Daoc to riun the game for Alb and Hib

RvR is what happens while you are here complaining

Well, Berserker (is/was) the only class that was ever able to deal up to 100% criticals in PVP, and even those only in his berserker frenzy vendo. The reason why it was possible to (almost) 1hit even an Armsman in plate on lvl 50. Don't know if that was ever fixed, didn't see many Berserkers anymore on live post TOA I guess, they were simply gone :).

On live server crits could not do the 100% damage, was capped to 75% or something similar
